Angry IP not loosing much

I started IP 3 weeks ago and lost 5 pounds the first week and then only .8 each week afterwards. I have kept to it absolutely and yet??? I do exercise 2 times per week but lowered the cardio part as per my coach. She told me to eat an extra packet on the days I exercise. I hope it works. Anyone else have problems like this? Anyone have any solutions?

A lot depends on height, starting weight, and how much you have to lose. You may also have not lowered the intensity of your exercise enough, or started it back too soon. Most recommendations are that you don't re-introduce exercise until at least week 3 or 4, as it takes your body a while to adjust to being in ketosis.

I am returning to the IP diet and want to follow the alternative program. I have lost my protocol sheets. Are they available on this site? Thanks!

If you mean the alternative protocol for diabetics, I believe there is a copy of the sheets in the Newbies Sticky thread at the top of the forum.

Hi:-) I found the protocols so no need to respond to my request. Very excited to start my "program" today. I will plow through the headaches, starving mind and get that water down. This program works. I got side tracked with a move and transition into retirement gaining a total of 14 pounds of the 50 I had lost. I appreciate the resources and support offered through the threads. Happy Sunday!

Default Phase 3

this site has been a huge help. I am to start my transition to phase 3 at the ene of this week. My coach was supposed to give me the phase 3 information sheet last week but she was out of copies! She told me the copier was "all the way at the other end of the hall" and so I'm supposed to prepare & plan for this phase with no info!?!? Needless to say, I came here & found it! thank you!!!

HI all! I'm brand new, and have an appointment to start IP next week.... I have about 100 pounds to lose, I work as a massage therapist and do about 4 hours of deep tissue work per day - which I consider similar to working out, and I do Zumba once a week. I guess I am wondering if IP is the right program for me?

I have tried so many diets in the past and have had little to no success I don't know where else to turn

There are a few threads on exercise while on Phase 1 of IP - you really need to listen to your body and see how you feel in the first few weeks. You will very likely need to consider adding an extra packet during your massage sessions, and definitely add one after your Zumba class. Because this is what your body is used to it is probably fine for you to continue, but you will have to compensate for the extra calories burned with extra food.

I'm restarting phase 1 after a short break. I don't have an update phase 1 sheet, but I'm told they've added jicama to the select vegetables list. Any other changes?

The most recent sheet is about halfway down the first page in the Newbie thread at the top of the forum - it's from June 2012. Meat portions also changed.

Does anyone have a "new" Phase 2 sheet? The one posted in this thread was posted in March of 2010.

Since then I know Phase I has increased the amount of protein to 8 ounces a day, regardless of type. Phase 2 in the posted Phase 2 sheet removes a daily protein packet but only increases chicken, beef, pork, lamb to 10 ounces, a two ounce increase. Fish or shrimp go from 8 ounces to 14 ounces. I was just wondering if there was a similar increase for chicken, beef, pork and lamb on a newer sheet.

(Getting ready to start Phase 2 this week. )

The Phase 2 sheet I have (June 2012) is exactly the same as the newest Phase 1 sheet except you have 8 oz of meat instead of a packet.
