Thank you for the before and after photos.
I have just measured out a single serving of chick peas to add to my salad. I usually just dump in the whole can. So I too will be calorie conscious.

These motivational stories & photos are my favorite part of 3fc. It's so great seeing someone who's gone through similar struggles and managed to succeed like this.

It gives me hope... and for that, I thank you!

Fantastic job! Also, I really like you're signature quote about picking your "hard," it's very true.

First of all, and the obvious reason why we're all here, huge congratulations on your loss! You look simply amazing now, and you've come so far.

Secondly, and I believe most importantly, I admire your strength and determination. I'm so happy to hear that even though you slipped up and dropped out of college, you didn't give up on your goals and went back and completed your degree. Not only that, but you got a masters degree too! Well done, I know a lot of people who would have just given up and settled for less.

I'm happy that you emphasised how slow your change was - because it's disheartening when some girls come on the boards and have a panic attack about their weight loss because they've been dieting and they're stalling. It is a slow and steady change, but if you get used to the changes then you'll never turn back. I'm hoping that if I put 5 burgers in front of you now you would say "no way!" =p

Congrats again, very inspirational!!

You are so right. Weight loss isn't always a quick process and it doesn't have to be something we rush through. It should be done at a pace that you are comfortable with and can work with without feeling deprived or upset or anxious. And you're right about the 5 burgers, lol! My husband always teases me when we go out to eat because I always get the same thing: a grilled chicken sandwich. And it's not because I am trying to watch what I eat, but my tastes and appetite have changed so much that I actually enjoy the taste of grilled chicken now much more than burgers!!
