I am new to the forums. And I must say stories like this are truly inspirational! My mother has early onset Parkinsons, my grandmother did and so did my great uncle. I don't know what my future holds, but I want to be as healthy as possible should I end up there. It is wonderful to see you didn't let it stop you!
Lucky-that is actually a really funny story about the shorts. My son came with me to stay at a hotel before a half marathon. He was at home and was coming to the hotel later in the day. I asked him to bring a pair of shorts for me to lounge around in. He brought these as a joke. I pulled them out of the bag and almost died when I realized I could fit in one leg of the shorts!!
Sued-They claim there is no known genetic link in Parkinson's. However, I too had a father, grandfather, and 2 great uncles with the illness at earlier ages than normal for the disease development. Thanks for your kind words. Best wishes to you!
