Thank you again to everyone who has responded. I love running because it provides me with endorphins and a rush of dopamine that left me long ago. I look a little strange running at times because I might drag my leg a little, or limp a little, but who cares? I'm out there doing it. I rarely allow myself any excuses and honestly, once I get out there, I feel so much better.

I am really excited about running my first full marathon. I'm just hoping not to throw up on anyone at the start out of excitement! Again, thanks to all of you. I love reading all of your stories as well.

I hope these don't bother anyone. I wanted to show a little of what I went through on this last surgery on June 1st. Mainly to show other people that whatever your challenges are, you can do something to better your situation.

The last picture is of a race I ran in between my brain surgery on April 13th and this last one on June 1st. It's been a rough couple of months. I am having my gall bladder removed on June 30th, and then hopefully that will be it for surgeries for a while. I love running and I'm tired of interferences. LOL

I had my gall bladder operation about 4 years ago. Good luck with yours.
What an inspiring story; congratulations exceeding your goal.

I know I've said this before, but I'll say it again: You are such an inspiration to me! I thought about you before my first race. I almost didn't go through with it because of an ugly domestic situation that came up 2 days before. With your story in mind and the encouragement of my daughter, I refused to use the excuse. I am so glad I went through with the race. I took second place in my age group!

Thank you for sharing your story and congratulations on all of your successes in life! :D

milmin2043 06-16-2011 08:24 PM

Congratulations Streudel! That's awesome!!

As soon as I stopped allowing any excuses, my entire life changed. I can't believe how much different things are for me, and not just weight loss.

Thank you so much for your kind words throughout my journey. I appreciate it so much!

Omg! your such and amazing inspiration. I am so glad to have read your goal story. it is people like you who show me that i really can make it to my goal. I just have to stick to it. So simple. But why dont we do it on our own. Well im beginning to beleive the old proverb, "it takes a village to raise a child" wich is why we need inspirations like you for support. Thank you!

Milmin, wow, congratulations! I have been following some of your posts and I am so happy for you and so inspired by you. You look so healthy and vibrant and strong. You rock, and I'm glad to hear that with all you have accomplished that you've noticed an improvement in your symptoms, that must feel great, what a great bonus. :) I notice you are in Texas, how are you weathering the sweltering heat in your workouts? ;) Again, many congrats! :)
