Wow that is amazing!!!! You did a great job. You should be proud of yourself, it is nearly impossible to loose that much weight in such a short period of time.
I hope you stay and share your stories with those of us who are still trying.

Yes, My doc said that no matter how slow or fast I lost it, I was so big, that I was going to have issues with my skin and, true to form, I do. I had a tummy tuck at the end of January and still have issues with loose skin on my chest, upper legs and under arms. My next surgery will be for the chest in a year or so.

Congratulations Jerome!
I am in awe of your courage! To lose 300 lbs in just over a year and then run a 10K in and around the 1 hour mark is an amazing feat!
Keep up the great life

Know that you can do it. It is not a question of willpower. I have none of that. It is a question of willingness. What are you willing to do to reach your goals? No matter what your situation, no matter what your history – you can be successful and improve your health and physical fitness. You can never be defeated until you quit.~anon

Your achievement is truly awesome. Congratulations and thanks for the inspiration. I am also cutting carbs to lose a significant amount of weight, but I have a question about the 'regular food from a supermarket' above. Did you eat organic fruits and veggies, grass fed beef, free range chickens, or did you do this on the more affordable fare? Just curious, and any details about the actual diet would be appreciated. Ya know, like dairy, bread, cooking oils, etc.

I used the 96/4 hamburger, regular chicken breasts, fish, turkey breats and sausage, eggs, sugar free jelo. mama lupe's low carb tortilla's, normal veggies, berries of any kind, some apples, low fat or reduced fat cheese and laughing cow cheese, NO BREAD, PASTA, POTATOS, no starchy foods or foods with sugars (either natural or refined).
