i guess i am sitting in similar shoes, my wedding is just around a year and a half away. i weigh 282, and it scared me to see how close i was to 300, and my ideal goal is around 150but i dont expect to be there before the wedding anytime in 2010 would rock. i'd love to know some of your recipes if your willing to share.

Amanda,
Your story is amazing. It is definitely the motivation I need for today. I am 230 lbs, short and totally unhappy with my apprearance.
My husband at I are going to Dominican in the middle of January, and I find myself 6 weeks out and terrified of being the fattest person there. I always look around to see if there are any fat girls there and most of the time I am disappointed. In a few weeks I have to start looking for a bathing suit and vacation wear.
I am really disappointed with my dedication so far, but maybe this desperation will motivate me. Wish me luck because i will need it.

Amanda your story really touched me you seem like you have grown into such a happier person. It is crazy to look at your picture collage at the beginning where you are singing to the end where you are dancing. It doesn't seem like your spirit changed at all  . I really want to have a transformation so badly like yours. I really loved all of your tips of what you have learned and changed.
