Whoa, this is an amazing transformation (I stopped in after seeing your post in another thread ), you look spectacular! Not sure if you addressed this, but what for you have been the emotional/mental pros & cons since losing weight/reaching goal? I ask because now I am facing some weird issues with loss, but I am still in the very big category so it is mild.

Well, weird as it may sound, I was a tad depressed after I lost all the weight. Well, more confused as to, what do I do now, kind of thing. I mean, all I thought about and worked towards for almost 2 years, was losing weight. I'm fine now...keep busy with things I couldn't do when I was too heavy.

I don't like the way men act towards me now. They are more flirty and I don't care for it. I got lots of attention being as heavy as I was (hollars, mean comments, mooing) now it's a different kind of attention, and I'm still trying to get used to it. Woman my age are not as nice to me anymore, but younger woman are nicer now...weird. It's like I'm still the same person and treat people the same, but they all treat me differently...weird. It's just a lot of change! Lots of emotional ups and downs I didn't expect. Thankfully, I haven't gone back to my old ways of eating junk when I'm stressed. I've stayed between 125-130 for over 3 years now. It helps that I have a husband I can vent to, and I follow the struggles and success of others here and that helps, too.

The biggest pro that outweighs everything...I'm healthy and I finally realized I'm worth it.

Wow, you look amazing! Congrats on reaching your goal and doing all that hard work!

Do you (and did you while you were losing weight) measure and count calories in vegetables and fruits? Like a cup of lettuce or a cup of watermelon? Or if you have a plain veggie salad with your lunch?

How do you eat well on vacation with a bunch of other people in a hotel room (also suppose there's no microwave)? This is always a huge challenge for me with eating healthy, because I can't cook and everyone else is always eating crap.

At what weight did you start exercising?

Again, congratulations! It's inspiring to see that you lost all the weight, are keeping it off, and still coming to 3FC.

Thank you :-)
Yes, while losing weight I weighed and measured everything. It's easy to eat more calories than you realize if you aren't measuring/weighing food.

I don't travel much, but I did go back home to visit a couple times. I just let my family know I was going to eat what I eat and not to worry about cooking for me. When I got there, I went grocery shopping and got my own food. I haven't been on a vacation where I was staying in a hotel and had to eat out the whole time. But, I've been out with friends at restaurants many times and you can always find something that's healthy to eat on menu...unless it's a fast food place. Lean meat and a veggie...skip the desserts and alcohol. Food you can eat in a hotel room? Fruits, veggies, yogurts, cold sandwiches without all the mayo and cheese. Look for ways to cut calories, carbs and sugars.

I started walking on the treadmill. I think I could only do 10 minutes at first before I was out of breath and knees killing me. Just kept adding more and more time and it got a lot easier as I lost weight. Later on, I walked faster and kept increasing the incline. I still don't run...killer on your knees. I've added weight lifting. I was doing yoga for a year or so, but found out it was doing bad things to my hips and back. I did Zumba but my gym canceled it. So, now I just do treadmill and weights at home. You could start walking right away. Increase your time as you can...push yourself a little. Push yourself more as you lose more. Good luck on your journey!

Wow, such a dramatic difference. All your hard work paid off, you look fantastic in the last folder. Love the new closet, so much room to try on new & smaller clothes.
