Default So those scales that measure body fat really work?

I have been looking at those scales that measure body fat (by sending some electric current through your body or something like that). Some also show water %.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I'm quite discouraged by my slow/non existant weight loss the past few months, but with the exercise, I'd like to see if at least my body fat % is going down.

I have one, and I really like it.

I love mine! I've found that in this process, it's helpful to keep as much data as possible. Then, if I'm not losing pounds, I might be losing body fat, or my BMI might be dropping. And if I go up, on my scale, I can see what my %water is, so if that's up, it would account for the weight change. I just like lots of info! But I have learned that they are really sensitive - moving my scale just a couple of inches, or having it under the heat vent in the winter, and the first weight won't be accurate. Leads to lots of re-weighing - not a healthy thing!
