Default oh no! Woe the plateau!

I've hit a plateau, I think. I've been bouncing around 132-134 for the past 2 weeks. I'm only about 4 pounds from my goal, and I'm on the green plan. What can I do to push past this? Less food and more workouts?

Hi Marissa -- I'm no expert, but I certainly wouldn't eat LESS than the green plan with the workouts you're doing -- have you tried mixing up your exercise to try to shock your body - add intervals, etc??

The last 10 are the hardest!

I'm right there with you Marisa....8lbs from goal and can't seem to get lower...then again can't seem to stay POP either...hmm...wonder if there's a connection???

I'm going to do take off next week, with slim downs for dinner and add strength training again and see if I can't bust through the barrier.

Good luck!

I hate the green plan; when I started it, I was STARVING all the time and my weight loss slowed way down from what it had been on the gold plan. When I complained about being so hungry, they told me to add an extra 1/2 protein because I was working out, so I've been doing that. It helps some with the hunger, and also my weightloss seems to have increased slightly rather than decreased. If you are working out, you may actually need MORE food rather than less. I've also got about 4 pounds to go, and I'll be VERY glad to be done with the green plan!

My friend also stalled on the green plan with a little less than 10lbs to go and moved back to gold. I don't think green is enough food for anyone....then again, I'm on the red plan, working out like a crazy person and am still hungry lately....something about those last few pounds are so hard! Hang in there!!!!

Hi all:

Please hang in there. I was 6 lbs from my goal from Jan - May, and the scale wouldn't budge. Since, I have gained 8 lbs. Yikes, I'm kicking myself in the butt for this! Can you say discouraged! You bet I am. Please don't let that happen to you, because I'm having a really tough time at getting the scale to move again. Since I returned from 4th of July's vacation, I've been almost 100% on plan most days (with no binges what so ever), and working out 4+ hours a week. The scale hasn't budged. It has to at some point, dosen't it? They switched me from the Gold to the Blue plan (in April when their plan changed) and I may be the only person, but adding more foods is not helping me. Good Luck and keep up the fight!

Fashnvictm, the last 10lbs are the hardest to get off. Honestly, you probably just need a metabolism boost. If you increase your workouts, you need to increase your food intake--not reduce it. You may even need to add a 1/2 protien to make your body wake up. Try changing things up. Try eating heavier during the day and light for dinner and not eat anything else. I am really bad about dinner being my largest meal and eating dinner late. Try making breakfast and lunch larger. I did that and it helped, but I couldn't continue to do that. I was raised that way, it's almost impossible to break. It is hard for me to do that because I'm used to eating a certain amount at those times of the day; and when I do that, I feel ukky--like I've ate too much. I can do it over the weekend sometimes and it does kick start my metabolism.

Ask your conselor; although, they want you to buy more weeks instead of trying to help you out (that is what they did to me).

This past weekend, I had just had enough of the green plan. I gave myself permission to go back to the gold plan for the weekend. I also splurged a little, and had a DQ Dilly bar instead of a fat-free sugar-free bar. Result at weigh-in on Tuesday: down 2 pounds! Now I've only got 1 pound to go --since I'm so close it will probably come off 1 ounce at a time!
