Just interested to find out if anyone has tried Zenical and what their results were. My Dr. has written me a script but not sure if I can get my insurance to cover it. My sister also got a script from her Dr. and he said that he thinks he can help her get it covered due to hypertension (which I have as well). I would love to hear your thoughts!

I've been on Xenical for 5 months and I've lost almost 20 pounds. It works if you follow the rules of eating low fat. I love using it since the medication doesn't enter my blood system and doesn't interfere with my medication. I use it for lunch and dinner, although I tend to forget to take it so my weightloss is a little slow.

My prescription was fully covered by Medical Insurance because I have a heart problem exacerbated by my excess weight.

I've been using Xenical faithfully for the last 2 1/2 months and I've already lost 20 pounds. The weight isn't so important to me but the change in size is. I've gone from almost a 16 to a very comfortable size 10 and it hasn't stopped yet! It was actually the only weight loss medication my doctor would prescribe because it doesn't affect your metabolism or your mind so it's not hard for you to keep the weight off when you stop using the pills. My insurance covered it based on my BMI alone and that was wonderful. The best advise I can give if you decide to try it is don't cheat! You'll be miserable if you do. The lower fat, the easier it is. I'm getting married in August so my motivation has been picturing myself in a wedding dress - ack!
