Mediterranean? DASH? Willett's "Eat, Drink & Be Healthy"
I'm just reading through Willett's book "Eat, Drink & Be Healthy" and was wondering if anyone else has followed what he discusses (perhaps by following either a Mediterranean plan or the DASH plan) and what success (or failure?) you've had with it.
I followed the DASH plan for about 3 weeks, but not for weight loss. I did it in order to lower my blood pressure. I didn't lose weight. Of course, I also wasn't exercising. But it did bring my BP down from 145/95 to 130/85. (Still working on that)
Thanks for responding! I haven't started yet (had a stomach bug all week) but I plan on it. It's matching up in advice with what I'm reading for fibroids/endometriosis (and the whole thing looks just plain healthy, so why not?).
