Has anyone tired the Negative calorie diet? It sounds healthy enough, but does it work? I really need to find some thing that works. I did the low fat diet, and it work great for about 1 year, than it stopped working. I had lost 75 pounds. but the weight started to come back. my hair and skin where so dry. and the pounds started to come back. I have now gained 35 pounds and need to find something that works...
Well, if you want your soft hair and skin back, I would NOT follow this diet. The main focus of this diet is eating fruits and veggies VERY low in calories and fat. So low, that it is said it takes more calories to burn the food in digestion than are actually IN the food. (Although this is not a fact).
This diet is not nutritionally sound at all, and I would not recommend it.
There are diets for which the main focus is eating fruits and veggies VERY low in calories and fat, which ARE nutritionally-sound, but the so-called "Negative Calorie Diets" aren't among them. Your better choice along those lines would be to check out Pritiken or Ornish.
