Suggestions for a Picky Eater with Texture Issues

I would like some advice on ways to lose weight. I am a 34 almost 35 year old woman and I am a very picky eater ontop of the fact that I have issues with some food textures.

some things I like:
  • Ham
  • Mashed Potatoes (sometimes with butter other times with gravy)
  • French Fries
  • Chicken (White Meat ONLY)
  • Turkey (White Meat ONLY)
  • Corn On The Cob (Can't stand it off)
  • Spaghetti (sometimes plain as in just the spaghetti sometimes with past sauce)
  • Love BBQ especially Pulled Pork
  • Tomato Soup (can't stand healthy choice have to put salt to make it good)
  • Roast Beef
  • Steak (Cooked Medium Well)
  • Hamburgers (plain except from wendy's then just cheese & ketchup from wendy's)
  • Chicken Nuggets (no sauce)/Chicken Strips (Ranch dipping sauce)
  • Sweet Potatoes (baked)
  • Apples

Hi!

You could try paleo or other low carbohydrate options. I'm very picky as well and have issues with some food textures (mushrooms for example...). You could keep eating all the protein that you like (chicken, steak etc.), apples and other fruit as well as sweet potatoes if you choose to go more primal than paleo. I'm not allowed to link but if you google "Mark's Daily Apple" you'll find a lot of info about primal diet on his site. It will help you lose weight and it's very healthy too.

Good luck with your weight loss whichever diet you choose! :)

Eat what you like, weigh it and make sure it fits into an appropriate calorie count for you. You will lose weight if you just cut back, even if it's the same foods you've always eaten.
