Forgive me if I don't remember who first posted this link on this site, but I've just finally got around to watching it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB7aGnfLB-8
I've always been interested in low carbing, paleo-style ideas and so I often read literature and watch these types of docs.
Low carb aside, I'm reeling by how focused this guy sounds. I mean, he's made his body into a machine it sounds like. Constant expertimenting, and gauging his cholesterol levels and testing his performance. It is so far removed from how I act around food. To him it's just fuel and he's trying out different kinds of fuels so that he can train long distances. It's fascinating and horrifying all at the same time. I get that he's talking about a ketogenic diet, but he sounds like a total robot. I can't imagine how difficult it is to obliterate sugar and all starches from your diet but to talk about it as if it's so easy just boggles me.
Why can't I see food as fuel? Annoyed!
