Default Ladies, I need help!

So I am currently on a seasonal birth control (I have my period once every 3 months)..

And I know they say during TOM you might gain weight..

However, I was wondering what if you are spotting.. can that cause some weight gain? With my birth control it is very common to spot between the periods..
but does that cause weight gain like a normal period?

I don't gain any weight during TOM. Some women do because of water retention, if I am remembering correctly? A quick google suggests that the increase in Progesterone leading up to your period may secret a hormone that signals the body to retain more water. There are many other reasons you could be retaining water, such at high sodium the day before or strenuous exercise. Can you think of any reason you would be retaining water?

The Mayo clinic recommends cal/mag, vit E and B complex to reduce the amount of water retained during your cycle. I take these anyway (Cal/mag and a good prenatal) so maybe this is why I don't experience it? I have always wondered why I didn't.

Doesnt prenatal vitamins cause a small weight gain? I want to start taking vitamins but I am not sure which ones are the best.
and as for the water retaining.. it could be all the sodium I had when I get to the casino.. I do not have many cheat days.. probably only 2 since I started dieting and the casino was one of them.. I had a philly cheese steak (extra onions, and bell peppers, LIGHT on the cheese, and on whole wheat) and a small order of fries.. but I did work it off the next day.. but that could be the "to much sodium"

It sounds weird, but drinking a lot of water actually helps you to flush water out of your body. How much water do you normally drink?
