Default April Exercise Challenge

Well ladies, can you believe that we are almost into April. Just want to say to all our last months winners: KITKAT, CHRIM, APHIL, DANCE4JOY, HELLO KITTY, DNW AND ME TOO!

For any of you lurkers out there, come on in and start the new month with us. Just calculate the number of minutes that you will pledge exercising for the entire month of April (don't forget to deductany day's off) and post them here. Each day, or week report back with your progress. Please try and stay with the format of remaining minutes-less min exercised= balance. I try and post the running totals thru Sunday on Monday and this is easier for me. (Unless anyone else would care to take it as this is a very busy time for me at work.)

Okay, here we go. My goal will be 1060 minutes for the month.

Default Hi Semo

I've been lurking around this thread for quite some time and decided to drop on by today.

My user name is kimbo and I consider myself the workout queen. I love to workout! I guess I like the way it makes me feel and of course I'm on a change in eating plan that will last a life time, hopefully!

Normally, I workout in the morning from 1 1/2 - 2 hrs and I take an aerobic class twice a week which normally last an hour.

Anyway, my exercise goal for this month is 1300 minutes. Which is a a couple of hundred minutes less than what I normally do. I'm giving myself some room.

Good luck to all!

Hi everyone!
Let's see...30 days in April...I am going to set a goal of 1200 minutes this month, averaging out to 40 minutes each day. This will be great, as my workouts vary between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on what I am doing that day...

Hello all.. and welcome, Kimbo!! Semo, sorry I made it difficult for you to calculate last month by joining in the middle and not posting my minutes right. I'll do better this time!

April is a bit shorter month... and this is my first complete month of the challenge... so I am going to stick with my goal of 1300 minutes.

Whew! You guys are too good for me! I'm almost embarrassed to post my number here.

Oh what the heck. I'm going to be realistic for me and not post anything that I don't think I can do. This way, if I actually do more than that, it'll be like icing on the cake.

Ooh, bad analogy for a weight-loss forum, eh? Sorry.

My goal number for April: 600 minutes of exercise.

There. I've said it. Now I have to do it.....

Hi Jello

Hey, please don't be embarrassed! The whole focus of this is to set our OWN goal and to work toward what we feel we can realistically achieve!! Go for it!!

Jello-that is right! Set a goal that is a bit of a challenge, but that you know you can achieve if you stick to it, and then maybe next month, you can up it to 650, and so on...600 isn't bad, anyway. It is about 20 minutes a day, every day-a wonderful start!

Thanks for starting April's thread Semo. I just barely met my goal for March so I think I'll stick to the same 1000 minutes for April. Let's see if I can do it two months in a row.

Welcome Kimbo and Jello and good to see everyone else back. Let's all do it this month ladies. I'm planning on being fit this summer. Maybe not thin - I've got a ways to go for that - but at least fit. And one of my summer goals is sculpted arms so I'm going to increase the intensity of those upper body workouts.

Good afternoon to all!

...and thanks for the welcome.

1300 - 120 = 1180 remaining.

That sounds like a lot more to go but I can do it!

Hi!
I am off to a great start! Today I did 15 minutes of walking and 90 minutes of "walking, running around and waving signs and flags" at a support the troops rally... total 105 minutes.

1300 original goal
1300-105=1195
