Chickadee - Have you found your weight loss to be in line with what the BB says it should be?

Yes Toni - it says I should drop 2 pounds per week and that's where I am. I average a 1,000 calorie deficit a day - so over the course of 7 days, 7000 calories = 2 pounds. I also enjoy the freedom of "maybe" having a snack. It says I should burn 2400 a day and eat 1400 a day. There are days when I burned as much as 3100...and on those days I allowed myself something nice - like 2 popcycles or a McDonalds icecream. This is the best thing for me. Perhaps it's not a real "diet" because I'm not counting points, or carbs, or protien, etc etc...but it's really enlightend me about moving and exercise and how just going for a 30 minute walk makes a huge impact. I just love it!!! I think the 2 weeks I lost 3 pounds - but I think losing more the first week is normal - I'm still sort of getting used to it - and trying to get myself to burn maybe as much as 3500. I am talking too much, sorry. I just love it!

Holy crap, way to go!! I've pretty much broke even for today, I was incredibly active and hit all my targets but I ate way too much. I love knowing where I stand though because I did a lot of walking after eating tonight to break even, whereas without the BB, I wouldn't have done anything after eating.

Chickadee - WTG!
Tonimaroni - Sweeeeet! The feed back and motivation is wonderful.

While I did not hit my step goal for the day, I did burn more cals than I planned, so I am happy with that.

exactly! Without the bodybugg I wouldn't have gone for these extra walks either. I used to exercise a lot before my kids were born. And I was thin my entire life until the kids came along...gaining almost 100 pounds. Even though this is true, it's still impossible for me to believe sometimes, how I went from 99lbs in highschool and college to the 120s after college, and 133 when I got married - all the way up to 232 at my highest. I have no clue what went wrong, but with the bodybugg I am really hoping to find my way back. Maybe not all the way to 133 but I'll be happy with 145 to 150. Now I'm off for my morning walk

Envelope - me too! My job makes me incredibly sedentary. I wish I had one that kept me moving so I didn't have to work so hard every night when I get done working.

It's amazing how long it's taken me to realize the importance of a walk. We've all heard for years how walking even just 30 minutes a day makes a huge difference. No kidding!! I get most of my steps in with my morning walk. Today isn't as great as yesterday...kids had golf lessons and I took them to a movie - it's 5:30 pm and I'm just now reaching my 10,000th step - still have about 6 hours left in my day though. Keep up the great work everyone! I hope we can keep this thread alive!

Envelope - that's such a good idea. I should start volunteering for the extra activity too!

I haven't had much of a deficit this week. Disapointing because I know I can't expect any weightloss, but at least I know why!

I'm back, with a confession. I have been off track. I have been slacking in the food department hardcore. But with this post I vow I'm getting back in line.

I am a stay at home mom so it's easier for me to find time to walk. It's noon and I already have in 8,291 steps for the day and have burned 1400 of my 2400 calorie requirement. Just got back from the gym and I'm pretty sure I will go for another walk tonight. Seeing the pounds come off is great motivtion for me. Over the weekend my husband bought Oreos because they were on sale. Once upon a time I could sit down and eat 10 of them in a row w/o blinking. I had just ONE - because I checked the calorie and I had room in my calorie budget - but it just didn't taste the same anymore! WOO HOO! That's GOOD thing, right? I've tried other diets and nothing has worked for me like having this bodybugg - I know I sound like a broken record but I just love it!!!! Have a great week everyone!!!

Oh my gosh you guys inspire me! I'm a newbie to 3FC. I bought my Bodymedia 3 weeks ago and set chose the lose 2lbs per week/moderateley active setting. Although I do make my steps/cal burn/cal deficit, etc., I've haven't lost any weight. Is it true the monitor takes a month to adjust to your specs? Suggestions? Am I doing anything wrong with this thing?
