Default Superfood Supplements/Nutrition drinks - What do you take?(disappointed in shakeology

Little vent and a question too. Ok I just had a sample sent to me from a Beachbody coach and while the girl is really nice and has all the enthusiasm in the world, I was sorely disappointed with it. I got the chocolate version and for one thing it's way too sweet for my tastes. I put it in a blender with some almond milk and frozen berries and actually got a headache from it because it was so sweet. I needed to eat something else just to level out the sweetness.

Anyways, I was just really shocked at it. The price is crazy - $119 for a month supply? really? It truly seemed like a glorified Slimfast shake with some vitamins etc thrown in. I get that it has maca in it, etc. But I have purchased a maca supplement from Healthforce Nutritionals that is far superior in quality, and I just throw a little spoonful in with berries and almond milk or even slimfast shake (whatever you prefer) and its a lot more nutritionally dense than Shakeology! Ugh, I am just not happy at all with it and I had 2 beachbody coaches on my facebook page so all I see on my news feed is stuff about it - if they tried some real superfood products like Vitamineral Green or Boku Superfood, if they had any sense they would quit the shakeology biz. Blah!

I am just amazed that they can even sell that stuff for the whopping price they get away with.

Anyhow, that brings me to ask: What is everyone else choosing for NUTRITION supplements/shakes? I am in love with Healthforce Nutritionals Vitamineral green. I found it when I was researching Boku Superfood online (seen the Tone It Up girls recommending Boku) and seen that Vitamineral Green was superior to even Boku and won several awards. I love it.

Anyone else take it, or anything else? Healthforce Nutritionals also has a great Maca supplement and a bunch of others I have been truly impressed with. And no, I dont sell it. I dont even think they have sales people Just a genuinely satisfied customer.

A great shake that I like is GNC's Lean Shake in the Total Lean line. I just bought the pre-mixed kind. I used to by the powder, but the pre mixed are more convenient and taste much better! They have 25 grams of protein. They also contain some fiber to keep you feeling full. They cost about $7 for a pack of 4. These can be used to replace a meal, but I would still eat a piece of fruit or something with it.

sometimes I wonder if all that stuff in that shake really does anything or if it's more like a placebo effect if people have results with it. I don't feel any different when taking those green supplements. It's just like taking a multi, or recently I started sprinkling chia seeds on my oatmeal...I just hope it's doing something, I don't feel any amazing effects.

the only shakes I use are protein powders since I know I don't get enough protein in my diet. I also like to eat seaweed salads when I can..they are supposed to be very good for you.
