Another beautiful day, I love IF...Weighed myself this morning because I wanted to see what had happened since yesterday,, I ate at 4pm and was done by 4:22pm.. I think I finished eating the day before at around 7 or 7:30pm so maybe a 20hr fast.
I lost the 2lbs I had gained, i was so happy and i feel good around my stomach area, yay.

Way to go esmi! They came off fast...onward and upward.... (or downward hee hee)...
I'm 18 hours into a 19 or 20 hour fast (depending on when dh gets home). Today I wanted to EAT. I'm not even that hungry, there are emotional issues at play. The kids are driving me nuts, bless their little souls. I typically want to stress eat when I'm annoyed or well, stressed.
I didn't though, I just had my regular coffee with one splenda and unsweetened almond milk (about 25 calories). I think I'm going to tie my fasting into Lent as well (which begins today) and make it also a time of prayer and growing closer to God.
Weigh-in is Saturday, so I pray I've lost a couple. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Moozie good luck on the garden. I am about to pull up my winter garden (swiss chard, mustard greens, etc). I'll pull the all except the cabbage and start on lettuce. I see the stores already have some seedlings out. I want to try bok choy this yeah.
35X35 I am giving up something for Lent as well, even though I'm non-denominational. I love the idea of it.
I finished my 20 hour fast and actually went to 21. I am feeling less and less hungry. I did Callenetics and come arm work during my last hour. I feel so rejuvenated. I'll do a 16/8 tomorrow and another 24hr Friday. I am ready to get out of this decade.

Way to go on your 21 hour fast mizz! I'm non-denominational as well, so giving up something for Lent is not required, but I love the idea too. It's always nice to stretch ourselves in our faiths
Thanks for the encouragement esmi -- I went to 20 hours then I ATE Ended the day at 1650 though, which is well within my caloric range for loss still weighing in the higher 200's. I still count calories because I don't want to fall into binge behavior after fasting. It's just a way for me to stay accountable. I feel satisfied and happy though, going to settle into bed with the hubby now that the kids are down.
Night all!

Hi everyone! It is so nice to see the updates everyone has been posting. Congrats to those losing weight/inches/BMI etc. Too many to name but your effort is encouraging to see especially since I am relatively new to IF. I first started IF at the end of Jan and will be finishing my 5th week with tomorrow's fast.
I am almost back to feeling like my normal self after over a week of being sick with a nasty cold. I am back into my workout routine and have to say this is the first time in my life I have thought " I miss working out..." LOL
I am one pound away from my first goal of twenty pounds lost. It's hard to believe really... anyway big thumbs up to everyone working hard to stick to their plans!

@mellyme great going on 20lbs loss! Great work! I know what you mean about missing working out, feels horrible once you have got yourself into a routine of doing it. Good work getting back to it, bet it feels good!
Well done mizzthingaling and 35x35 on your 20+ hr fasts

Hey esmi,
I lost the weight with IF and of course exercise. I had never done IF before and only read about it at the beginning of this year. My first fast was toward the end of January. I've been doing 2 fasts a week. I did very little in the way of exercising before I decided to do something about all the weight I've been carrying so that has helped too.
I really enjoy IF and see how this can be a WOL as opposed to all the other plans I've yo-yo'd with all my life.
Hope that helps!

Ok I've been lurking for a while and I've decided to start this. I was originally doing the bead diet - which is very similar to me, but I think this is more manageable for me. I finished my 2nd fast for the week this morning and although I step on the scale everyday (to keep myself in check), i'm going to make my official weigh in day Fridays.
I'll let you all know what my week 1 results are tomorrow!

@tonimaroni Hi! Great going on your 2nd fast! I have been doing IF for 2 weeks this weekend and have found this thread really helpful and informative with everyone sharing their experiences.
I did another 19 hour today and broke my fast with a tin of tuna mixed with half a tin of baked beans (sounds weird but was ok!) then went to the gym for short run and an hour of weight training, then ate pesto topped fish with potatoes, leeks and spring greens followed by 2 wholemeal rice cakes with peanut butter and a highlights hot chocolate!
Hope this is not too much but I am imagining it spread out over the whole day and it is less than I would usually eat. It's just weird to be cutting calories but still feel nice and full when I go to bed! Weighing tomorrow so fingers crossed for a loss!
Hope everyone is doing well!
