Default Candida diet

Hi there!

I started my candida diet and was quite strict for two weeks while i was taking antibiotics to cure it...then fell off the wagon and now back on the diet, this time around trying to treat it with natural-antibiotics (i.e. garlic etc..). Was wondering whether others have been successful sticking with this diet-as its so restrictive-and whether they managed to deal w/ the candida...and what they exactly did.
Recipes are also welcome

Many thanks!

Isn't the Candida diet designed to cure Candida and is not for weight loss ?

Yes, I'm doing it for both as the candida contributed to my weight gain...created havoc in my digestive system and slowed metabolism

I started doing the Candida diet last year as recommended by my doctor. I was diagnosed with CFS/CLD a couple of years ago and was barely functional: extreme fatigue, constant headaches and eye pain, and nerve pain that made walking/standing a challenge. All of my symptoms have been greatly reduced and my quality of life has changed significantly since changing my diet. I'm so grateful to be feeling so much better. The diet is tough, there is no getting around it, but for me it has been well worth it. As a bonus, I have lost forty+ pounds-HOORAY! The diet I followed is listed at the wholeapproach.com, if anyone is interested. I have fallen of the the wagon a bit lately, and I can sure feeling a difference Time to refocus so I can ring in the New Year in continued good health

I'm probably going to start a slight candida diet starting in the new year. I've done it before and it helped me a lot with health but I couldn't stick to it long. Many issues going on at the time.

Now...I do have a huge success story but it's also pretty daunting. My husband's mother. She had many issues some years ago (before I met her or anything) and was overweight and had a lot wrong with her. She eventually found the candida diet and went on it. She hasn't had sugar in years. Now that sounds odd, but she does have fruit at times and uses stevia. She looks great for being in her mid 40s.

I hope to not have to go to that extreme, but I am planning on doing it. At least cutting out the excess sugars and carbs and such on my own plan of this.

Probiotics and fermented stuff like sauerkraut should be great against Candida if I'm right.

I have never done it but it sounds like a healthy diet for anyone. Are you referring to the Body Ecology Diet? Just wondering. Thanks.
