Default Genotype Diet

Anyone ever heard of this diet? I stumbled on it and got curious. I'm thinking of ordering the book. You find out what foods to eat and what food to avoid by your genes. Anybody read this? Any results?

Edit: I just ordered it from Amazon.

Are you talking about the one by Pam McDonald? I have it and have been following its recommendations for about two months and have noticed a difference in the way that I feel.

The one I ordered is by Dr. Peter D'Adamo. I can't wait to start reading it. It sounds interesting. Have you lost weight with yours?

Yes, that's what they call it also.

There's a decent review of the book here. You can also read about it on Wikipedia. I wouldn't go near it myself.

Do a google search & you will see that the genotype diet & the blood type diet are 2 very different things. Also, check out the books on Amazon & read the comments from readers for a better idea of what they are about.

Yeah, I researched the GenoType diet some more and I read good and bad reviews. The book is on its way so I will find out when I get it

It seems like Peter D'adamo wrote both books, with Eat right for your type being the first installation and the Genotype diet is the next book in the series, which breaks it down even further and suggests that you can change your genetics (if you will) based on the types of food you eat. Will definitely read up more on it before I try it.
