Thank you all for the birthday wishes!!!! That was so nice to see today

Melody!!!!!! Nice to have ya on board!

I fit in a walk while at work yesterday knowing how crazy things have been lately. I had a meeting in another building and refused to take my car, it stayed parked and I walked Having to get creative on where to burn calories until things slow a bit. My DH got the job he interviewed for yesterday, so will be able to have some part time income coming in! YAY! I was so proud and it helps lift some stress for me - which means less cortisol holding on to bad stuff

Hey everyone!
I’ve been really busy lately, but I’m staying mostly on plan and getting in some daily exercise Although I do have to admit that at my sister’s baby shower this past weekend, I did end up eating a couple cupcakes and working them into my calorie limit… But I haven’t had cake in ages (and have a huge sweet tooth) and those cupcakes were totally worth it.

I hit the gym again today for some cardio and snagged myself a bike this time! My *ahem* posterior isn't too fond of it, though .. it's been a while since I've sat on those seats for that long.

and now comes the 'I'm hungry because I haven't eaten since this morning, but I don't know what to eat because I just want to eat everything" conundrum!

MelodyMist and BrillMama2: Welcome!

SparkleBe: I had cake at my daughter's bday party. Don't feel bad!

PinkSparkles: Awesome on the bike...but yeah, that is the reason I don't ride them lol. More power to you.

rdw1: There is nothing wrong with a well deserved shopping trip. Think of it as a better reward for exercising and losing than going to lunch with the girls

ItsMyTurn: Congrats on hubby's new job! I can almost feel some of the burden being lifted off your shoulders. It is perfect timing with the holidays coming. I'm so happy for you

JillNicole: I think I noticed the weight vs size issue more since joining 3FC too. I see it in myself. I'm about an 18 now leaning to a 16 at this weight. At 210 I was a 16, but that was after I had my last child. (So, no working out). At 170 I was 13 (All I wore were Express jeans), 140 between a 7 and 9. I think 135 was a 5. I have the skirt to prove it lol--which I havent worn since circa 1998.

Today, I ate more carbs. I must have been craving it. I caved and had some piergies (5 augh) with a little bit of lite sour cream. I stayed within my calorie allotment though. I avoided the ice cream my kids had for dessert for eating all their dinner (a struggle with my son), but had a bite size snickers. I just hope the natural pb on lite wheat, plain tuna, and banana I ate earlier, canceled it out.

I did Shred---I think I'm on Day 15. (or 16 I can't remember. I'll shoot lower just in case lol). I don't know whether it's getting easier or I'm getting stronger. I def like Level 2 better because it incorporates exercises to stretch the muscles too ( a lot of plank moves) but I could do without pendulum lunges. Or any lunges. I hate them.

On a different note, I think it is time to revisit underwear shopping. They are getting droopy and big--not the sexiest thing anymore. Is this happening to anyone else? I told the guy and he looked at me like I was crazy. Then he asked the total male thing, "Your boobs aren't shrinking are they?" Really? No, they somehow haven't yet. I'm glad he has his priorities straight. I did go down a band size but refuse to compensate by going up a letter. Now, if only I could get down enough to fit into that huge container of undergarments from many years past, I'd be good. (Yes, I saved most of the them=especially ones with tags that I forgot about. I was a shopholic with a great Vickies discount lol.)

hey - can i join too! I really want to lose for the xmas season. What plans are you all following? I can't decide which to do? I've done a lot in the past! I found this random questionnaire thing called rank my diet - it told me I should do weight watchers... which sounds fair enough! Plus i worked out my BMI on there.... not pretty

Same here! I have to admit it took me a long time to replace them too... Part of my problem is we moved to another country and I can't figure out the underwearing sizing system here. I went exactly by my measurements and they felt way too small!

I eventually ordered some from the states but then they ended up being too big, I just can't win!

Bras I've had to order because I was getting pretty severe back and breast pain (I have a large bust). If you managed to go down a band size and not go up a cup size it looks like you did lose a bit on your bust then, but probably not a noticeable amount.

NSV today, everyone.. I think I've conquered my fear of exercise in front of people. I started out doing workout DVDs in my bedroom with the door shut, eventually graduated to working out in my best friend's home gym with him, then to my school's gym.. and now, this morning, I went for a run through campus!

I was on my way back home and realized there were two roads I could take: one that's less populated where no one would see me, and a super-busy one that leads right through campus. Since today's a school day, I figured this was my chance to be brave and run past everyone. I even got a thumbs up!

I'm starting to get saggy-butt syndrome too, sheramama.. must be time for us to go shopping!

Lulu, I'm just following a plan of exercising as much as I can (which can be hard to make time for between school and life) and counting calories.. it's worked pretty well for me so far. I've never used Weight Watchers myself, but (correct me if I'm wrong!) I've always found it a little odd that fruits/vegetables are "free" foods that you don't count points for- I eat a lot of that stuff, and the calories definitely add up.

Wow, ok, time to catch up, didn't realize I missed so much

SparkleB - Way to stay on plan!!!!! If you worked the cupcakes into the calories, then no harm no foul Great job!

pinksparkles - I love your name!!!! Those who know me, know I am all about the pink and the bling Anywho... at a munch time like you were experiencing, and being right after a workout, anything with protein is ideal - a protein shake, a banana with peanut butter on it, and the like. They curb the hunger that is usually brought on due to being out of "fuel"

Yay on your NSV!!!!

brillmama - Whatever it takes to keep that motivation, do it! I had started with a pair of jeans I bought that didn't fit, put them on my wall in front of the elliptical Once those fit, noticed motivation level dropping again... went out and now have a new pair to put up there It's a constant reminder of where I want to be - yet achievable. Just an idea for ya that has worked for me

rdw - how did you do with the water?? I am glad I am not the only shopping maniac around here. At my house I call it retail therapy. I don't go to comfort food, or a psychiatrist.... I go to shopping... clothes, shoes, accessories.... it ends up costing less and I have something to show for it at the end

sheramama - You aren't kidding! Any little bit helps I am just hoping since it's nights, I don't have to try to fit in too much of picking up the slack - mainly cause I have no idea how to squeeze it in, LOL! Great job on the shred!!!! You always recover nicely when you slip on the food end As far as the underwear... you are NOT alone!!! I have had to go out and buy new sizes twice now so far...when they bunch up in pants, too big.... and this last time... if you stand sideways in the mirror and it looks like you are wearing a wet diaper cause they sag so bad, they are too big,

lulu - As for how I am losing the weight... well, I have a nutritionist and trainer that I am working with (and they are working together). Their main mission was for me to "retrain" my metabolism. So, have some supplements that were needed, I am watching my calories, trying to incorporate more proteins, and exercising I do both cardio and strength. Everyone is different and utilizing a different way of what works... but... once you decide, just bust through with gusto and love every minute of it

running- Sounds like you have had quite a time trying to get undergarments to fit! Dang girl! When you have them so they fit, your pants will fit so much better and feel more comfortable Wish you luck on that!

i just wanted to share my opinoion on the bra shopping....
it sucks!!!! i were a 40c now, its a little loose in the band and when i try a 38c i pucker all over around the boobs but the band is a great fit. when i try the 38d the boobs are loose and un supportive. it makes no sence. victoria secret measeured me and think a 36dd is right and that was a joke.. and i cant find a supportive bra from them that i dont fall out of..
so if anyone finds a good bra at a good price for less than perfect boobs it would be great to know!!!!

BrillMama: Bra shopping sucks, especially bc no bra is really true to size. (I know. I used to be a "bra-fitting specialist" lmao as if there really were such a thing). I was a 40D and now would be a tight 38DD since the 40's are too big. What I always found to work since HS is to buy a bra with removable padding. That way when I get rid of the padding, I have more cup room. No matter what, since I tend to favor demi-cups bc I do like to have cleavage, I have a tendency to spill out too. It's a no win situation. I haven't been thrilled with Vickie's bras in years and I used to love Warners. However, the Wonderbra with removable padding is awesome. The wires are set on a more diaginal curve. Hope that helps.

PinkSparkles: I def agree it is time for new undies I stick to bikinis bc there is no way my butt its getting into a thong at this size lol. I am def going to some cheap ones and hope I grow out of them soon.

ItsMyTurn: I love the diaper comment...it is so true though!

Lulu: I am not really on a plan per say. I try to calorie cycle and I work out 4-6x a week. Right now, I am doing Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred which I absolutely love. If my muscles are cramping too much, I switch it up for a day or so.

Another day of Shred done. I'm more than 1/2 way through! Whew! She has a sequel coming out in Dec which I will prob get. After Xmas, I am going to be doing Supreme 90...I heard good reviews and since it was $19 on Amazon, I ordered it with $ my g-ma gave me for Xmas/Birthday. She still sends me a card and all early so I wrap of the gift, open it on Xmas, and call her lol. I am crossing my fingers that it's good.

Alright, I am gonna hit the shower then bed. Good luck to everyone on their weigh in...especially me lol.
