I joined WW online and I was excited to find a group on there who are doing WW Intuitively. I haven't joined the thread there yet, but I did find the reading very interesting. They said it works great together because WW allows you to eat whatever you want as long as you count. From what I've read so far some of them never use all their points and some use them + more. I think I will like that even better than the WW combined with low carb because I don't have to iliminate any food group. No good food/bad food.

Hope everyone is having a good week end.

Ok. ladies. I have been away since before Christmas, but now I am back. I just finished reading the book Choose to Lose, it seemed like a good book, but had lots of rules, you had to eat every 3 hours whether hungry or not, and that did not make sense to me. Anyway I DO NOT want to diet, IE is so easy, but so hard because when you haved dieted for so long, it's hard to NOT have rules to follow. I just re-ordered the Overfed Head, I gave my son my other copy, so I just ordered me another one. Have a blessed day.

Hi CC. I almost started a diet today as we will be going to visit West Coast kids in 2 weeks. Couldn't do it.

CC - good to have you back. Funny how this thread is busy for a while and then seemingly nothing. I don't want to get hooked into actual diet rules either. If WW becomes more of a diet instead of IE for me I will have to make a decision to back off on WW.

Carolr - it is so hard to stay out of the diet mode and thinking. I actually feel guilty sometime when I'm not thinking diet, but I know I cannot do a diet per se any more. It is one thing to do IE in conjunction with WW, but I just can't spend time thinking diets all the time because that makes me think about food too much.

I am reading The Overfed Head again. I think it is one of those books that I need to be reading over and over again until I get all this into my thick skull. Isn't it terrible that we have been so brain washed into thinking we have to eat a certain way to lose weight and be healthy. I think that is the only way I'm going to get this really working for me.

Today I ate breakfast because I was feeding my little DGS and I've been hungry all day even when I shouldn't be. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I didn't eat until I was actually hungry and I was surprised to find that I wasn't really hungry enough to eat until around noon or after. Quite interesting/strange observation. Huh? Eating when I'm not hungry makes me hungry all day long. Eating before I'm hungry seems to turn on a switch that doesn't want to be cut off.

I sure would like to know why this is.

I am right there with you. I have agonized over this for the past several days. I am going to lose weight with IE, but it will be a slow-yet-steady loss, not the amazing transformations I read about in the Goals section. This makes me feel guilty, because I want to look my best for my future husband at our wedding in October. At the rate I'm going, the best I can expect to lose is about 35 pounds... a fraction of what I need to drop.

I'm trying hard to make peace with this fact, but the impulse to diet diet diet drop it fast, now now...! It's just hard to resist.

I joined one of the exercise challenges that lasts 3 months starting Feb. I'm going to hold off the diet mentality at least that long. If I am nourishing myself and exercising, maybe my body will surprise me. So, not considering a diet until I give IE and Exercise a fair shot.

This too is my goal. I think it helps to set mini-goals because it is too frustrating to set just one BIG goal. When I joined WW this time to use along side my IE way of eating, I noticed that I had the choise of setting a smaller goal initially rather than the usual 10% so I chose 5% goal. I've decided that a lot of smaller goals will probably work better for me than larger ones especially since I'm doing IE.

I ended up eating a lot yesterday. I am also learning that the idea that I have to eat low carb may not be the case at all. Quite an interesting realization.

Hope everyone has a great IE day!!!
