Woo Hoo I've lost 8 lbs. since last Monday. That means I lost the lbs. I gained and two more. So off to change my ticker.
Solly- I hope you hear something soon from the insurance company. Of course they want to hold off as long a possible. We had a horrible big storm here last night. Lots of lightening and big loud noices. Banana bread sounds so good.
Crystle- Good luck on the scale today.

I had a chiro appt. today. She said I am much better now that I have switched from vegetarian to Paleo... I feel a lot better too.
Have not remembered to weigh in the morning, so I am not sure what the scale is saying these days. My clothes feel looser.
I finally heard from my dermatologist...the biopsy was benign. Yay! Its actually healing fairly well. It hardly hurts anymore...took it four weeks!
Sorry this is so short. I am trying to get the house shaped up for company tomorrow evening...

Getting a late start this morning and I sure didn't need to. Got up early but went back to bed. Now I've got a ton of stuff to do. DH wants potato salad today so need to make him some. I cooked me some chicken breasts for the week. Its day 14 of the 17 DD so I'll be going on to the second cycle the end of the week. Will be glad to have oatmeal back and some things like that. Eating has been going good. Getting ready to have some yogurt and a fruit.
Crystle- Thats great you had a good weigh in. I can't wait till Wed. to see how I'm doing. Want so bad out of the 180's.
Ellen- Hope your company was fun.

Howdy
Weigh in was okay. I'm at 142. Working toward seeing that 139 again. But I usually stay around this range so no complaints. I bought two dresses from the resale shop the other day. One was a 6 and one was a 4. I wasn't sure if they would fit but they did. I was grinning from ear to ear. I knew my jeans were that size but I didn't know about real clothes.

So disappointed I stayed the same this week. Couldn't believe I've ate right. But I'm afraid not enough food. Need to up my calories. I've just had a 2 egg omelet with fat free cheese and bell peppers and an orange. All I had earlier was a yogurt so guess this is lunch.
Crystle- You're doing so good. Thats so great you could fit into those little bitty dresses. Keep up the good work.

Hi ladies, Hubby has been home for 3 days so I have been MIA. We went to the Buffet concert in Cincy Tues and spent the nite. It was fun, different and trying. It was an effort for me to walk in, it was long. My leg was killing me so as soon as we found our spot (standing) I sat on the ground until the concert started. Once I put my hands on my knees and squatted and it helped. But the walk back wasn't as bad. All the rest of the time I sat in a chair. Have lots of birthday gifts to get today. Party for 3 kiddos tomorrow and some I need to send out.
Toni, I am so proud of you. 8 lbs is awesome. I lent out my 17 day diet book. My DD says that once you go off it you gain it all back. Duh, that happens with every diet, Have to make a life style change. Don't know what I am going to do but something starting Sunday for sure. Keep up the good work.
Ellen, so glad the biopsy was bengin. You will see some loss soon. hang in there.
Crystle, wow a 4 and 6 in a dress is awesome. I am so jealous.
Hope to get back tomorrow but I have the GS tomorrow., Have a good one.

Hope everyone is having a good Friday. Visited with a friend this afternoon and came home starving. Had a very small ground round patty and a tiny baked potato plain. It was so good and filling. I'm doing good on my eating but not doing well on the exercise.
Solly- You can do this girl. You've just got to get it in your head. I know thats so hard to do. Wish we could bottle the good energy when we have it. The concert sounded like allot of fun.
Where is everybody????? Come out come out where ever you are........

Good morning, Not much going on this weekend. Went to my nephew's for his daughter's birthday and two other great nieces too. It was fun family time. Cleaned all day yesterday. Went shopping for a grill. Ours has bit the dust. Found out they go on sale on Thursday so we will wait until then.
Going to make stuffed peppers for supper. Never have done that before. Not sure I even like them but oh well.Washed lettuces, grapes and made a veggie tray to have on hand today. Hopefully I will eat that stuff in lieu of junk.
Toni, you are doing good with your eating. You are right you have to get it in your head. I hope I have. I am miserable and clothes do not fit. I am determined to get it off. I think I have decided to count calories. Staying around 1200 a day. I have downloaded some apps on my phone so I will look into those to see if they will help. I hear you about the exercise. I wish there was something I can do. I am sitting with an icepack on my knee as I write. My torn miniscus is swelling and giving me pain. I go to the doc tomorrow to schedule the surgery to fix it.
Where is everyone else???

Hey ladies! Its been a wild weekend! The roofers came on Saturday morning at about 6:15. By the time I finished my three mile walk at 8:15 they had the old roof off and were putting down the underlayment tar paper. They were done with everything, including a wonderful clean up, by 4:30. The painter came today and pressure washed the house. He will come tomorrow and start painting the trim. Unforunately, the gutter man can't come until after we get back from vacation. bummer. I had hoped to leave it all done when we left. Its not like we will get rain anyway.
A friend of ours got bitten by a copperhead Saturday. He had to have four units of anti venom, and spent two days in the hospital. Animal control found the nest right by his front door. They said it must be a very large snake, but they can't find it! Thank God it did not get any of the six kids running around in the front yard! I would freak out. A friend of ours has found two baby copperheads in their yard. I certainly will not tell her! She freaks about snakes. Must be our hot and dry weather that is making them come out like this.
We are leaving Friday and will be gone two weeks. Our ultimate destination is Boston to visit my sister for a few days. I am excited. And a bit nervous. It ought to be fun, but there is so much to do and without a car, its hard to get stuff done.
I am hoping when we get back, we will be able to find a car for Tom so I can have mine back.

SOLLY: Good luck with calorie counting! I think you ought to read the Paleo diet. Its not all meat...and I have found it really easy to follow. And I feel pretty good on it!
TONI: Hang in there! Glad your eating is under control. Start small with the exercise..just do it! Five minutes a day! You can do that! 
COUNTRY: You are doing great! Can't wait to join you on maintenance!

Howdy
We had a crazy hot weekend around 109 both days. Hoping to see a break in the heat late this week. Maybe even see rain. That would be a HUGE blessing.
The weight is doing okay..I'm ranging from 139 to 142 depending on what I eat. I still struggle with binges from time to time but I think staying active is helping.
Toni...next week you'll see a bigger loss again. Your body is catching up from last weeks large loss.
Solly...I am so sorry you are hurting. Over the last year I've been more of a calorie counter than a die hard SB gal. It takes away the guilt when I eat something that used to be considered a "no no"
Ellen...have fun!  Yucky on the snakes.

Getting ready to make the ground turkey for taco salad tonight. I hate frying the meat part. Such a pain.. LOL... Eating has been good and I'm hopeing for a loss this week. I can tell my jeans are getting baggy. Went grocery shopping yesterday. I was sure disappointed in Wal Marts puny produce.
Ellen- Bet your house is going to be so nice all fixed up. Have a really nice vacation. I would love to go to Boston. My DH was born there. But grew up in Walthan. Good going on your walks. I hope to start tonight with just doing 5 min. on my treadmill.
Solly- I know how you feel about your clothes all getting tight. Counting calories is a good way. Its nice to know you can eat stuff you like but in moderation. I'm enjoying being on Cycle 2 in this diet. Its so nice to have some freedom from the same thing.
Crystle- Way to go on staying in a good weight range. Bingeing is my downfall along with no exerciseing. Wow its hot there. We were in the 80's today and I loved it.
Guess I'll drag myself into the kitchen and get that turkey fried.

Hi ladies, went and scheduled my knee surgery for Sept 15th. WAS hoping to do it next week but he will be on vacation. That will be one thing down. Still haven't heard from my disability co. I called her yesterday and she acts like it is an imposition when I call. Drives me crazy not knowing not mentioning the money is tight right now.
My GS spent the night with me and is here today (napping now) so I forgot to weight this morning but I was down 2 lbs yesterday so hoping it is more tomorrow. I think I have him again tomorrow.
Crystle, you have done so great I think a binge is ok with how active you are. Aslong as you get right back on track you will be fine. Treat yourself. Hope you get some rain. 109 is pretty dang hot.
Ellen, I will look into that diet. I do eat what I want and count the calories. I have an app on my phone the scans bar codes so it is easy. I really think about what I eat before it. That is horrible about the snakes. I hate them so much. I would be watching around like crazy. Enjoy your vacation. See you in 2 weeks.
Toni, You are doing so great. I can't wait for baggy jeans. I had a hard time doing phase I and 2 was better. Glad you are getting variety. I have to find something I can do forever so I think the calorie counting may be the best thing. That way I can eat it and count it and not feel like I have cheated. I made a big veggie tray and dip and have it in the fridge so it is handy. It has helped and I have not had any wine this week. Will probably have some this weekend but I will count it.
