Default Do you speed eat?

I wonder how many of you dieters eat a mile a minute? Do some people just eat fast or is it part of our weight issues?

Before weight loss? Absolutely, I shoveled food into my mouth as if it was going to disappear if I didn't get it off my plate fast enough! Eating that fast didn't give my stomach enough time to tell my brain that it was full...hence why I ended up eating until I was absolutely literally stuffed!

I now realize this is entirely delusional and I try to enjoy my meals slowly. I eat slowly, enjoying every bites, cutting up my portions, and drinking a lot of water while eating so that I can actually pay attention to when my stomach is full and happy.

I don't mean too, but I have a 19 month old and sometimes I just have to or I'd never eat. I really really try to slow down because my portions are so much smaller now, but it's hard.

I eat way too fast too. I don't think it's part of the eating thing usually, just I am always in a hurry to do everything. If I am eating out or with friends just for visiting, though, I am the last one finished usually. Prolly too busy talking to shovel the food as fast.

I do. It is something I started doing when my boys were babies so I could eat my meals while they were still hot. Now my boys are adults so I am constantly remembering I need to slow down when eating.

I might be weird but I have always eaten slow. My mother always told me to chew your food slowly so you can enjoy what your eating. So I have never struggled with that issue. However when I try to sit down and eat with my husband I notice that he's cleaned his plate twenty minutes before me.
