sasha - how's day one so far?
shae - life is amazing. You got what you wanted when the time was right.
natamars - I can't believe how long we have to go without alcohol. I stopped craving my almost nightly wine. But, I sure do miss it when I go out for dinner, or socialising.
misskitty - I think it's weights everyday as it's using light weights for only 20 minutes. I would alternate upper body one day and lower body the next. But, he does say if you can do more then by all means exercise for longer.
I didn't exercise today even though I planned on going swimming. It is just too cold outside! Also, I have heel pain at the moment, so walking to the gym is out of the question. I'm not really following the exercise schedule in the book as I like taking classes at my gym. I go 6 times a week for an hour each time, so hopefully I'll still continue to get results.
I weighed in today and I was down a further .2 lbs. I'm at 119.6. Though, I won't change my ticker until it's at least 119.4.

Natamars. Thanks. I survived the first day. I also survived the first day of clinicals. So all is okay. I didn't make it to the gym today though.

life4ever, if you were able to survive your first day of clinicals and your first day of Detox, you did an amazing job!! I'm proud of you, I did not eat healthy or exercise at all when I did clinicals. I should have but I came up with too many excuses! Keep on going and don't give up, you will feel so much better and think much more clearly when you are eating healthy and exercising.
Official weigh in will be in the morning. I usually weigh on Monday's but have been holding off to see what the scale says on graduation day! lol..

Praying I left my book at work and did not LOSE it because I can't find it here at my house BUT...
In the 2006,2007 version you can have 10-12 almonds as a snack or 10 cashews (this is from memory) I did not eat them but thought about it. Will probably add them in Phase 2.
I hope this is not a bad sign that I can't find my book... :-(

Good Morning...
Sorry I didn't get back on yesterday to post to everyone. We have been looking at travel trailers the last couple of weeks..so we have been taking trips to go look at them. It wears me out. But, I love going up north and looking at the sights. The travel trailer we looked at yesterday needed more work than we wanted to put into it. SO, the hunt continues. We are looking on craigslist...hopefully we will find one.
Weigh in was supposed to be today..BUT, I am going to detox for 2 more days. I have to confess that I didn't eat on plan yesterday. We went to a seafood restaurant and I had fried shrimp. I KNOW! Bad! I have no excuse. Except for the fact that I have been craving fried shrimp for a while. And we were right on the ocean and couldn't pass up eating fresh shrimp.
But, Today I am back on plan.
Breakfast~ yogurt, banana
snack~ apple
Lunch~ Tomato soup
snack~ grapes
Supper~ Grilled Chicken, brown rice and veggies.
snack~ 1 cup of milk, banana
I have to work today. So, I will check back in later.
Sherry

Good morning, smashers.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's weight loss results. I'm back to weighing in daily, which is bad. Going to ask DH to hide the scale again and go back to weighing in weekly. I've been the same for 3 days, which is good - looks like the 6 lbs. was not a fluke. But my calories have been on the low side - about 1000/day, so I want to increase them a bit. I haven't been exercising as much though - will be back at the gym tonight and try to push a little harder. Need to get back to weight training too.
I'm on day 2 of phase 2.
Talk to you later!

Hi ladies! Day 1 yesterday was a little brutal. I thought I had prepared enough, but I didn't! After a grocery store run last night, I think I'll be OK for the rest of phase 1. It was mostly that I drink tea throughout the day, and I hadn't picked up any decaf herbal yet. That, and, I was eating just one type of bean all day. Today should be better. I already feel like it's a little better; sitting here after having my banana and yogurt, drinking a cup of peppermint tea Right now, though, the idea of sticking to this strict, you-can't-eat-that lifestyle for all 3 phases (before maintenance) is a bit torturous. We'll see though, fingers crossed!
natamars-- i'm going to stick to weighing once a week. I know i should go the full 9 days before weighing, but i don't wanna! Haha. I'll weigh on Friday, and then again once I've completed phase 1. Looking forward to a possible whoosh!

Sasha~ Good job getting through day 1. I found that I was starving the first 3 or 4 days. So, I ended up eating more than I thought I would. We ended up making a run to the store before we thought we would have to. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do drink diet coke. I tried to quit and ended up with horrible caffeine withdrawls. I learned my lesson and am weaning myself off it.
natamars~ No fluke! How do you like phase 2?
Hi to everyone else...

Hi Guys!!!
sorry that I did not get a chance to post earlier. I got a late start this morning (5:15am) and did not have a chance to exercise, fix foods for today and log on so I chose the 1st two on the list.
EXCITING NEWS: Today I graduated to Phase 2!! I made it though phase 1 without cheating and lost a whooshing 8.8 pounds!!! I exercised my buns off for them too!
Today was an easy day on Phase 2. The only thing I added was one baked turkey wing tonight with white beans (crock pot cooked and very yummy) over brown rice. I feel like I'm in heaven!!
I did 10 minutes on my eliptical, walked 2 miles at lunch (32 minutes) and plan to do another 10 minutes on the eliptical after I post and let my food digest a little.
Sasha, hang on. coffee comes in phase 2 (10 oz cup I think)
Shae, I'm glad you're getting back on track!
Natamars, I totally understand your problem with the scale. I had that problem too! But weighing once a week helps me. If I don't see the big loss (1-3 pounds) I think I would freak and I really want this to be my lifestyle change. I love this diet!

prettypearls, WOO-HOO on your 8.8!! that is awesome!
Made it to the gym tonight. I'm so hungry today. Having some cold cereal and soy milk which will probably put me at about 1500 calories for the day.
See you all tomorrow!

So I will be restarting tomorrow and weighing myself. Since I never did. I am getting frustrated again. Yall have a goodnight.
