No gym this morning. Trying to get in and out of work. Will workout this evening. My birthday is tomorrow , so I have lots of running around to do.


Meal 1
coffee - (Wasn't supposed to have this.. I was trying to cut back)

*Notes on today's food:
Oatbran: I just stumbled across this and I love it. Its very similar in values to oatmeal but with a bit more fiber. My body doesn't react the same to all fiber. Actually sometimes fiber will make me take even longer to go to the bathroom... we're talking days (like flax for some reason). BUT anyway, this oatbran has been working for me. Momma likes to go to the bathroom DAILY... So I think I am going to start slowly switching over to this from my oatmeal. I love oatmeal and have tons of it at home, so I will still eat it, but it just doesn't help me go like the oatbran does!

For 1/4 cup its - 130 cals / 3 grams of fat / 23 carbs / and 9 fiber


Coffee - Yea, I'm supposed to be cutting back on that. But I drank a cup this morning along with my aleve that I popped for a headache. I'm still cutting back though. Fatsmash Extreme allows you to have a cup so I dont feel like I have cheated.. I just personally want to cut down on artificial sweetners unless its stevia.. That's all.

SORRY.. DIDN'T LOG IN FOR BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!

Went out this weekend... 3 days... and that's alot for me. Went dancing Friday night and BOY oh BOY did I bloat/swell up like a fat cat. I dont know if I have ever seen my legs that big. Sheesh! I guess the heels and the dancing like crazy was a bit much. The bloat is going down slowly. I ate pretty much like a fat cow. So anyway.. here we go again.

I went ahead to see the damange..

Oh yes. 151. Sigh. Well there is no point in crying about it. Swelling or no swelling, I have to go hardcore to get back to where I was.

Yep... that's the post birthday weight. Its the first time in years that I actually allowed myself to be treated out to dinners, lunches, desserts, etc. I felt bad and BLOATED the whole time which wasn't a great feeling.. but hey. Now I think only a few pounds of this is from the birthday celebration. So before this I was proably up around 7 pounds from my original goal.

Anyway.. Its best to face the music, think positive, and look forward.

We fall down and it sucks... but we CANNOT stay down. If you do, its only your own fault.

So lets get pumped!

Ok. Got up this morning... 445am. Got to the gym and for the first time in a WHILE I jogged. I don't know how this may affect my bursitis, but I stretched really well afterward. I am just praying that the bursitis just gives me a damn break and allows me to get my exercise in and get this weight off asap!

Ok.. So I made a goal for tomorrow's weight. I must --- M.U.S.T be out of the 150's by tomorrow. I don't belong here! So tomorrow's goal will be 149 At least I can see straight in the 140's.. And then that way I will only be 9 pounds away from goal. I feel better about that.

Morning Exercise: 20 minute jog on treadmill & stretches for lower back and hip


Food Log

Meal 1 (8am)
0% Fage w/ red grapes


Meal 2 (12pm)
veggie salad w/ half cup black beans
2% Fage w/ mango (yum)


Meal 3 (3pm)
2 plums
3/4 cup oatmeal

Meal 4
4 egg whites w/ spinach mushrooms and onions & 1 tb light sourcream instead of dressing.
*This was a great mmeal

I kept focusing on seeing 149 today, so I am manifesting it. No more of the 150's!

Yep.. made today’s goal. Just barely but there. Today I will focus on being 148 tomorrow. I can do this.


Exercise
Elliptical – 40 minutes
Treadmill (walking 4%) – 15 minutes
Stretching – 10 minutes (lower body, hip flexors, back)
Dance class tonight. (salsa lessons)



Meal 1
2% Fage w/ small yellow mango cut up and grapes

Meal 2
Sliced mushrooms/spinach/onion
Lowfat sourcream and fresh salsa (tomato, cucumber, onion, cilantro)

Meal 3
Veggie salad w/ sliced beets & 3 bean salad & fresh salsa

Meal 4
Oatmeal?

Meal 5
More mushroom spinach concoction with eggwhites

Goal: 148 tomorrow!

Didn't weigh this morning because I came to work early. Will weight tomorrow.
I am thinking about tracking my meals over on another forum. The only reason is because I have been going in between 2 forums. I go over to the other forum because almost everything is fat smash related, but then I come back over her to record everything... so I just may just track everything over there so I am not flip flopping back and forth.

Anyhow...

2 egg whites w/ mushroom, artichoke, onion (yummy!!)

red apple



Dinner
brown rice
beans

Can't wait to see what the scale says tomorrow. Still have to get some exercise in tonight since my normal routine was interrupted today.

Dedikayted, good to see you back on - I was looking for you! Happy belated birthday.

I've had a rough few weeks too - lots of family stuff - death in the family, serious car accident, illness..could go on and on. But things are settling down and I have mostly been able to stay on track. My next goal is to get below 130 - was ALMOST there on Thursday(129.8 flashed before it went to 130), but I'm back to 131 this morning.

Awww Natamars. sorry about the rough time you are having. I pray things get better for you fast.

I've been in training with my job and have not been able to log in as much as I would like. Everything has been off track. I have snuck in a couple of runs this week (20 minute at a time only). Dieting has been off/on as well.. Its never the same when you have to eat out with all your meals. You cannot be in full control of what goes into your foods, so its just really challenging. I never salt my food at home, but when I go out of town for conferences or just go out to eat, I usually bloat up because of the shock in sodium levels, as well as fat, sugar, etc that I would not get if I were home.

I recently registered to post on another site.. but I decided that I will still post here. I may start a new thread once I get out of training for work.. Things will be less sporadic and I can post daily again. Thank goodness there are not more training or conferences coming up. I'll probably be able to start posting early next week.

Though I dont want to be a scale junkie.. Whatever.. When I get back, I may weigh daily again. I won't require myself to do it, but I am going to do it.

Hello ole' Journal!!!

Guess who's back????? I have been gone for some months now. I have been DATING someone since May and things have been going really well between us. After being single for about 3 years and dodging social events all the time (due to dieting), it has been crazy having someone take me out to all these new places. I live in the Washington DC area so there are many places to go... I just never went. The great news is that he and I have been going out every weekend since my birthday. Luckily for me, I am always following some sort of plan and working out so I never let me weight get too far gone... I try not to ever bust out of my 8's..and 10's is the absolute highest I will allow myself to go.

Anyway, so I am happy I have someone special in my life right now. He loves my size.. and that's fine and good... BUT we all know how critical we can be on ourselves. Anyway I want to get back to logging my meals, fat smashing of course because I really enjoy doing that and it keeps me accountable. I just have to find out how to balance my NEW dating life into my plan.

Let's see.. I've been pretty much fluctuating from 145-155. Not my beloved 140, but hey, I was having a good time... but definitely still exercising 5-6 times a week. This is just the weight that my body is comfortable with. I weighed 145 in high school so this seems to be my natural set point.

I'm bloated as heck right now due to TOM but the last time I weighed myself I was 151.

I started a challenge with about 7 women. We weighin every Sunday for accountability. 2 of them (my mom and sister).. So no matter what I will weigh by then because we have to.

You know I like weighing daily, but I find that its best that I weigh on days when I get my full rest (meaning not on days when I am going to the gym at 4am). So I will just weighin on the days where I can be consistent with the weighin times (not 4am).

Gosh... I am so excited to start back!

The great thing about this is my "friend" knows how I am with the whole fitness/eating healthy/exercise thing so he's not into sabotaging me or anything..haha.. I actually have him on a lowcarb plan right now. He has lost 10 pounds so far.


Ok. I have rambled on and on... but the bottom line is --- I'm excited!

Guess I'd better go and boil me some beans

OH.. so the goal --- get back to 140

and I need to decide whether I am starting with Original Fat Smash or Extreme....

One more thing.. I was re-reading my journal for motivation and I was on a roll until that issue with my bursitis started. I dont even want to think about that! Ugh! As for the last couple of months, it has been a lot better so I wont say anymiore but I did want to update on that as well.

I am sleeping back in my bed but I hike my feet up with a pillow. That seems to work. Oh..and no sleeping on that hip!

I think one more thing that I need to do differntly is change up my cardio every couple of weeks or so. I just dont want any hurdles this time around with this leg swelling thing.

So that's the plan.

60 calorie Safeway yogurt
1 sm apple
(1 bottle water)

w/Litehouse Kefir Yogurt Ranch dressing (low fat) so damn good!
**it also had 1 eggwhite and 1 oz 60 calorie low fat cheese.
(1 bottle water w/ dandellion root extract)

1 BLACK COFFEE /gum

Meal 3

grapefruit

Meal 4
puffed wheat cereal (I ate this instead of the beans and veggies tonight. Just wanted to get that out of the house. Its only 60 calories 0 sugar per cup. I could use this for my one of my 2 snacks a day but for now I will try to stick with other snacks

11:30am.
I decided to go ahead and not wait until Sunday to weigh.. Last Sunday I was 151.8 and by Monday I quickly saw 156 or so from bloat... Drinking dandellion tea to help with that.. I must have went to the bathroom about 13 times last night.. and I FELT much better this morning that I have all this week. So looks like the bloat is gone.. and the real weightloss begins.. Right here folks!

Let's do it.

Re: cereal - one of those things that can be low cal but are not portion friendly for me. I dont like to keep things in the house that make me want to eat MORE. Unfortunately - thats why I wont buy anymore for now anyway.

I know Sunday is only a few days away but I would be very happy with 147. I would be pretty happy with 148 as well.

I have been following Original Fatsmash detox foods today. Sometimes I will do that. On extreme you actually get more things (like meat) but I'm not pressed for meat so on days like today where my schedule may be hectic. I just follow the OFS guidelines which are pretty easy to me. I actually liked that plan when I was following it.

But as far as my exercise is concerned... I want to keep it HIGH like on the Extreme plan.

So... I still have to do another 45 minutes of cardio today... Later.

For dinner - maybe just have some fruit or veggie. I could have oatmeal but I dont know. I will check back in later to report whatever I have. I really want a drop in weight so I'm trying to do what I gotta do to get that drop!

I really really want to see 140-something on Sunday and fluctuting between 150-151 is not going to cut it.

I am brainstorming on what to do to knock my weight down into the 140's. What I am thinking is trying my best to keep the heavier carbs earlier in the day. I am teetering between Original Fatsmash and Extreme as usual. I dont like to eat outside of the "Fat Smashable" foods.

so my usual foods are:

oatmeal
brown rice
lima beans
sweet potato
lean protien (fish, chicken usually for me)
low carb milk
fruits
vegetables
protein powder
egg whites

These are normally the foods that stick to.

I try to always keep both my books nearby. I do more exercise then original recommends...

The main thing that I am always trying to work the program in a way so that it doesn't feel like a diet.. in a stress free way.

So anyway, today I am planning to not have too many carbs close to bed time.

I have some mahi mahi thawing out now. So tonights meals will probably just be fish and small salad greens with lowfat dressing... (lean, good protein and low calorie)


I also want to hit the gym again, but BEFORE dinner. I have learned that when I workout late at night, I get hungry afterward... and then I get upset because I am eating too close to bed time. So I would like to get that 2nd workout in before dinner. I also need to make sure I eat enough so that I wont go looking for food in the middle of the night. haha.

Right now I am not keeping excessive food in the fridge because of that "wanting to eat at night" thing. So my fridge is not stocked with a lot of fruits and yogurts because these are things that I can easiliy pull out and eat at night. I read that when you get up in the middle of the night to eat its from not eating enough in the day time.... but with trying to lose weight.. that's just too damn bad. I need to be at a calorie deficit. I want the weight off! STEADY weightloss is the aim.

So I need to see 14X on Sunday! Even if it is 149! Let me see it! I dont want to be in the 150's at all!

Its Tuesday!

Sunday, I ate off plan at my mother's...so have to deal with the bloat..
Monday: Back on plan... Exercise: Rest day

Today (Tuesday) - Cardio - 45 minutes a.m.

I am thinking about starting 2-a days...breaking up the cardio.. I am not sure yet though. I haven't been doing a lot of weight training recently so I'm thinking about that as well.

I think I am going to test out an OUTSIDE jog and see how my body feels.

I MUST see 14x this week. At this point, I will take 149. Just get me in the 140's so I can see straight. I will keep pushing!!!!!

and no more sabotaging myself... I dont want to stop myself from reaching my goals.

A.M. Cardio - 60 minutes done!!!

Let's weigh in on Friday, maybe? Weighin in on Friday kind of helps us stay on track for the weekend. So that's what I'll do...

Rest is very important, so I have been trying to get at least 6-7 hours of sleep at night. I lose the most when I rest.

We will say bye-bye to the 150's this week!

and remember.. egg white omelets are filling and low calorie. You can stuff em with veggies and its very filling.

As I find other fat smashable ideas that I dont want to forget, I will post em.
