Default Cookie Dieters in 2010

If you're not sure what the cookie diet is, please feel free to read our previous thread posted back in January. I give a detailed run down of what the diet is in my blog as well. Please see the posted link below type of diet may not be for everyone, but it's working for me. Please do not post to this thread with negativity, we are a positive bunch and very friendly. We are encouraging each other on this difficult journey called weight loss. We welcome anyone who's interested in the diet to join in on our conversations!!

Hi all! I'm new to this whole cookie diet. I ordered four boxes of the chocolate diet cookies last week and they just arrived! I just ate one and had a glass of water. I'm really hoping this will help me get to my goal weight.

I started my healthy lifestyle January 9 2009. I was 243 when I started then, but my highest weight was around 275 lbs at one point. I started counting calories and cut out pop, juice and other junk. I am currently 172. I have been on and off since last June. I am really struggling to get the rest of this weight off. I'm a food addict and will even binge on healthy food, or food I don't even really like. Last night I had a binge which consisted of a huge bowl of popcorn, a few nutrigrain bars, marshmallows, dill pickle chips and I gave in and ate the chicken cordon bleu, sidekicks noodles, chicken fried rice that I made for my hubby and daughter. I ALWAYS feel horrible after I do it and very guilty, but I continue to binge at least once a week. It isn't just mindless eating, but most times I plan for the binge. I know exactly what I am going to eat and I wait for everyone to go to sleep and then I go crazy. Last week I binged on McDonald's! I am amazed that one person can eat so much of that awful food. Anyway, I have these cookies and I am ready to get serious about this!

I actually found out about this cookie diet by finding a link to Tami's blog from 3FC. Thank you, Tami! Looking forward to getting to know you all.

I posted these pics of myself last summer.

Welcome autumns19! Us cookie dieters get a lot of flack from others... but 'I GOTTA BE ME'

Hey Lemon and others...maybe we could make a list of what the cookie diet is teaching us? (Sorry it is the teacher in me )

For me the big thing is how little I really need to eat to maintain my 5 foot body frame. There is so much for me to embrace when it comes to finding my plan for life...the cookies have helped me stop eating whatever I want whenever I want...which I did for years...and that is why I weighed over 250.

Autumns19 - I'm really glad that you came across my blog! I only found out about the cookie diet by an ad on AOL news. After seeing a video about the woman that lost half her body weight doing this diet, I did lots of research and thought I'd give it a whirl. So far so good even with little speed bumps.

I too binge eat and like last weekend binge drink! I've gotten rid of all the "tempting" food in my house and refuse to buy it. Since I live alone and don't have to cook for anyone but myself I stick to cooking only healthy items. It's hard especially when I go out with my friend who's a size 22 and not currently dieting. I'm afraid that I'll be eating poorly Sunday since it's Super Bowl. I have decided to only have a beer or two not one or two pitchers! LOL

Cathy, I'm not sure what the cookies are teaching me just yet. I seem to stray a lot especially recently. I get frustrated when I think "I can only eat 300-500 calories for dinner". I still struggle with making myself eat more cookies during the day so I'm not STARVING when I get home. It's 11am and I've still only had one cookie and a bottle of water. I want this so bad why do I allow myself to get off track!?

If it is 11 and you have only had one cookie? That isn't enuf! Are you trying to hurry the cookie diet? The cookie diet has lot of hurry in it by itself!

Cathy, I'm probably the most impatient person you will ever know. The lack of eatting is what caused my body to go into starvation mode after 2 weeks on the diet. I did have one more cookie just a few minutes ago. Sometimes I just forget to eat!

For me I have found that if I don't eat...then all of a sudden out of no where I am STARVED which can lead to a binge. It's like if I fill my tank up regularly then I can putter along. Corny I know!!

Hi all. After reading the other thread I decided this was the diet that would be right for me. I just got the Dr. S cookies yesterday and started today. So far I've tried the oatmeal raisin, not too bad, but they dont exactly make me feel full. I still have the urge to snack tho not really hungry. I hope my body adjusts to eating like this, fast. Hopefully I'll like the chocolate better. Are any of you taking a vitamin supplement?
Reading you girls success is keeping me motivated.

Hi Babycakes! It was very hard for me when I 1st started. I was very hungry. But I like the structure of eating every 2 hours. It has been good for me. Good luck and keep coming back.

I too was very hungry when I first started the diet, but it only lasted that first week. After that I only eat the cookies when I'm hungry. I am not a creature of habit like Cathy so structuring doesn't really work for me.

Regarding the supplements, I take the ones that came free daily w/ some vitamin E and Flintstones Gummy Vitamins. I have not purchased the extra bottle and have been on the diet close to two months with no problems. Good Luck Babycakes!

So, I like the chocolate much better than the oatmeal raisin. I pop it in the microwave for 5 sec. and its great. I also found that I'm much better if I just eat 1 when I feel hungry, most of the time I dont even get to eat all 6. Im drinking lots more water too. Friday I had already lost 4 lbs. I'm so hoping I can keep this up.

Gah!!! Last night killed my diet!!! Drank too much and then did the drunk fast food binge eating as well. I'll get it off but I need to learn how to control my drinking. Doesn't help that the friend I drink with drinks BL like it's water!! Oh not to mention the drunken late night booty call! No more beer for me!! This hang over is killing me! This is going to be the longest Monday of my LIFE!!

Welcome ccbrat! For me when I was starting out I just went to google and searched 300 calorie meals there's a lot out there but be careful it's per SERVING. That's where I get caught up. I'll make a dish and it makes 8 servings, since I'm single, I eat my one serving and packed the others to either be frozen or dinner tomorrow. I've posted a few links that I find helpful, hope you do too!

Spark Recipes is VERY helpful, once again though watch your serving sizes: http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recip...ber_of_ratings

http://fatsecret.com/recipes/collect...e/Default.aspx

There are TONS of sites & recipes out there, ya just gotta look.
