I think we should have a separate thread just for the challenge, what do you all think? So far there are five of us. I am so excited!
P.S. I just wanted to let you all know I burned another approx 3,200 calories yesterday and I ate 2,100 calories and my weight went down by THREE pounds (remember I had been plateauing for the last 3 months eating 1,400 cals a day). I am really starting to think that I had the wrong formula for success these last few months. I kept increasing my activity and decreasing my calories, maybe there really is a thing as starvation mode (which I never used to believe in). Anyway, the proof will be in the pudding come Wednesday after my first full week. I will give you all an update to see if I broke out of my plateau and to see if it really is possible to eat more to lose more!

Totally agree on the separate thread. That would definitely be helpful. Also, once the thread's started why don't we just start posting our starting stats based on our last weigh-ins, or first weigh-ins for those joining us that have either just ordered or just started with the bugg/gwf? Then our first weigh-in can be on Wednesday?
I'm raring to go... hahaha can you tell?

Ok I created the separate thread here:
**Go Fit Wear/BodyBugg Summer Challenge**
But, I don't see a forum just for challenges?

I haven't been on this thread (well, the old one!) in a while due to work being insane, but I'm still wearing my GWF every day. I'm down 8lbs since early December, which is a lot for me as I haven't really been on track as much as I wanted to. No excuses, just strayed from plan! The last two weeks, I have sorted my head out and got back on track, and I'm seeing a result already. I no longer track food in the GWF site as I got an iPod Touch for Christmas and downloaded the free LoseIt app, so I use that - it's so easy to carry around all day and I put food in it as soon as i eat it, so it's a good habit. Then I do the day's estimating in GWF - same result, just tracking it differently. I average around 500 cals a day deficit - I need to work up to 1,000 a day but while I'm in busy season at work (until April) it's all I can do to stay on food plan and workout 4x a week - any more effort will have to wait!
I'd like to do the challenge too - I weigh on Sundays but I can easily plug Sunday's info into a challenge thread on Wednesdays. Anything to help me stay motivated and keep me honest!

Got home tonight and am still trying to figure this thing out. It is very confusing and I'm kind of a techie person so I would have thought this was easy. I wasn't prepared to put in my info already but I think I am on the right track with it. It is charging and then I'll be on my way. I will visit the challenge thread and catch up. I'm so glad there's a place to chat about this thing. I would be even more lost with out it.

I really think that the whole point of these systems is to get an accurate idea of calorie burn and then eat accordingly. Its very hard to give up on the standard "wisdom" of eating 1200-1500 calories a day to lose weight. It has taken me years to realize this and my GWF confirms it.
For me weight loss is all mental. I know what to eat, how to work out, etc. Its keeping focused and mentally prepared for set-backs that is the big challenge. This time around I have a network of people who are also trying to get healty. I have a GWF to keep me accoutable. And I have these forums to come and vent and also keep me accountable.
Keep up the good work!

Carly - You had said before that payday was Monday. I don't know if that means you are looking for a military or other government paycheck or not, but just in case it does I thought I'd come here and post that my hubby noticed that his paycheck came in early for some crazy reason even though the 1st falls on a weekday this time. So, if you are looking for a military/government paycheck then maybe you should check and see if yours came in early for some crazy reason and you can order before the end of the BB sale.

Woohoo I just ordered it and it should be here in a week! Also I was reading over all the old post from early 2009 and 2008 and Im shocked at how much the BB and GWF cost back then.

Also I have another question does the BB sorta sense how much food you have eaten? I saw a post where it said someone tracked 1300 cals eaten but the body bugg sensed 1800 cals were eaten. Im sorta confused about this.

At the end of the week when you weigh-in it tells you, based, on your weight how many calories it really thinks you burned and ate vs. what you logged. There's nothing magic about it, because the site just sees black and white numbers. If you lost x amount you must have eaten x amount and burned x amount to achieve that loss.

Hey julesp13, I downloaded the LoseIt App. Great find! I def like tracking my food with the app rather than have to logon to my computer. Thanks!

Hey all....still hanging in there...loving the GWF! This challenge you all are talking about sounds fun! I think I will be in on this. My plan was not to weigh in for a month but I think I will go ahead and weigh so I can do this challenge.

Anyone on here have a sensewear? i bought mine last year and used it intermittently then stopped using it. Well I decided I want to use it again. So I charged it up but I was getting a "watch not set up error" so I decided to reset it by hitting all four buttons. Big mistake! now it just has DD 121 on the face. I bought thru my minifly.com which is now out of business. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the sensewear customer service. I sent an email on Saturday so hoping to hear something soon.
