Default Body Bugg?

I am really interested in getting a Body Bugg. Can anyone tell me more on it or let me know if it is really worth it? I have lost 75 lbs and still have a ways to go. I have struggled with the same 5 lbs for two months. Need something to get me going again.

It's on sale right now at CostCo and I really want one. I hope people speak up and tell us if it's worth it!

A couple friends like it but they are real competitive. I wanted one for Chirstmas but we can't find them around here only online. I am looking for them now and that is how I found this website. Goodluck

I have a GoWear Fit, which is the same as the body bugg except that it also monitors sleep efficiency. I absolutely love knowing exactly how many calories I burn when exercising, and during the day in general. The online food tracker is pretty good also.

Here's a thread of people using it regularly:

Bodybugg/Go Fit users, lets keep on track together 2!

I am curious about the GoWear Fit.
Can you give me more insight?

I have a BodyBugg, with the digital display...what I love is the little alarms I get when i reach my goal for the day (calorie and activity...I still haven't made 10000 steps) -- and you can adjust your goals on the website.

Samantha - The GoWear Fit is pretty much the exact same thing as the bodybugg as far as I know. The only extra thing is it tells you how many hours you actually slept and gives a chart showing when you were sleeping, just laying down, or up. It also has a website that costs so much per month (I think I pay around $6/month) where you upload all the data and can also track all your meals. I also bought the digital display so that I can track my progress throughout the day so that I don't have to wait to upload the info. Hope this helps.

Another fan here... used it to lose the last 50lbs out of 113lbs. I feel it helps keep you on Target more and encourages you to be more active throughout the whole day.

Hypnosis therapy is very effectual in loosing weight. I think you should try it once.

About the food tracking--this is something I struggle with now--if I don't know the exact calories of the food--what's the best way to estimate to keep accurate records for the bugg or GFW?

The bodybugg will estimate what you've eaten by comparing your weekly burn with your actual weight loss, but to make the most of the system you really need to either record your food into the online thing... or at least give it a total calories for the day so you have to track calories one way or another. That means weighing, measuring, reading packaging, and looking up stuff you don't know. It's tedious but you get used to it and once your most commonly used foods are entered in... it's not much of a hassle.

When you don't know the calories for something you just pick something similar that it already knows. For example no idea what the supermarket pizza was I had a few days back so I typed in pizza and just picked a medium slice from a known place.

I know keeping track sounds like a pain, but consider that most sucessful maintainers STILL track their foods. There must be something to it. Mindfulness is a great tool.
