Default negative calorie diets?

Hi, I was looking on this site that was selling an ebook about a "negative calorie diet"....it made such claims as if u eat a piece of celery thats 5 calories it will take 100 calories to digest it so in effect you are 95 calories deficit in front.
I really know nothing about this sort of thing , so was hoping some people here with knowledge could explain if this sort of diet is true or just another scam?
Thanks in advance....susan

Default

O.k., I just came across this on the Government National Institute Of Health website which seems to answer my question :

"Myth : Certain foods, like grapefruit, celery, or cabbage soup, can burn fat and make you lose weight.
Fact : No foods can burn fat. Some foods with caffeine may speed up your metabolism (the way your body uses energy, or calories) for a short time, but they do not cause weight loss."
