I am on the color coded plan (Red1) and was told that the Activia Light was 1/2 dairy.
This was based on the dairy serving being 1 cup and it is 1/2 cup. From reading old posts on yogurt I think there is a difference between whatever COD you go to,some are told it is a starch because of the fiber content and some are told it is a dairy. Hope this helps a little. Roberta |
Why is that? Why do you have to count it like this?
I personally eat only gelatine-free yogurts (I am vegetarian) but I am very curious... |
I would say that it would be a dairy serving (or 1/2 a dairy because of the serving size.)
I would not say that it would be a starch, because you are not "keeping" the starches that are in it-the fiber. They pass through the system. |
I've always been told to count yogurt as a dairy...never a starch.

Yup, me too. Yogurt=dairy.
