Love your job? What do you do?

If anyone has a job outside of home that they really love, I'd like to hear what it is!

Thanks

I do.

I really do love my job. I am a certified optician. I help the optometrist with patient exams, I help patients choose eyeglass frames and lens choices and contacts, grind the lenses to make the glasses, teach patients how to wear and care for contacts...

Mainly it's because I have eye problems so I can understand where someone is coming from when they need help. I love glasses and wish I had more money for more frames. I am always able to keep learning more. I've been working here for quite awhile now so I know all my patients...it may not sound that exciting, but I love my job.

I do!

Have a job outside the home AND love it (most of the time!)

I'm a Farm Loan Officer for the United States Dept. of Agriculture. We're VERY busy this time of year, and this year is especially difficult.

I love the challenge, though, and I love the feeling of accomplishment I get the day a loan is closed (especially if it's one that was hard to get worked out!)

I love my job!
I work from home running school auctions, I only have one this year.

Lol most days I love my job!

I'm an educational teaching assistant. I work with children who have behavioural/learning difficulties. I work one on one with different children in a class and modify their school work so that they can succeed in the classroom setting.

I love my job because it's so hands on. I never know what I'm going to see when I go in the morning. I deal with all behaviours, so you never know if it's gonna be a happy face day... or a sad day for my little ones. But it's all good... it keeps it interesting, and keeps me on my toes! :D

I'm an elementary school teacher. I teach grade 2 (probably between your 1 and 2) Used to teach grade 4, and am still 'adjusting' to the grade change. The kids are adorable, I just have to get my mind wrapped around the content.

Most days I love my job. How could you not love being surrounded by young ones who adore you? Innocent minds with a thirst for knowledge. Questions and comments that just have to make you chuckle.

Some days I am REALLY tired, and then one of those little ones will offer to rub my back or give me a hug, or just ask if I'm OK. They can be so sweet.

Other days, the paperwork and politics get me down, but after a while in the classroom, things seem right again.

Don't get me wrong... I do tend to complain now and then and can get REALLY frustrated when I have to repeat something 20 times, but overall, I love my job.

I'm a nurse and yes I love it. I especially love my old folks. Who better deserves comfort and well being than folks who have already put in a full (and sometimes hard) life. I love to make them comfortable and happy.

I work for a private health insurer. I am a clinical advisor on a specialist back pain team. I assess applications for back surgery, and for functional restoration programmes to get people mobile again, and living their life to the full.

I love my job, it's interesting and I really love the company I work for. And my colleagues are the best!

I love my job.... and I work for the government, not a contradiction in terms! I work for the Probation, Parole and Pardon Boards and I teach court ordered parenting skills to families going through bad divorces. I see alot of bad things, but I have the power of influence and can sometimes turn people around-plus it makes me appreciate the life I have!

Idealperson - Your job sounds really interesting! It's so true that sometimes your workplace just makes you stop and appreciate all that you have!!

I'm an archivist in a university Special Collections Library. Basically, I am in charge of organizing and providing access to unique and rare historic manuscripts and books. For a history geek like me, it's an ideal job. On a daily basis, I get to work with cool 100+ year old material. Plus, I get to "shop" for new manuscript purchases, meaning that I get to peruse catalogs and spend money that isn't mine! Another favorite part of my job is getting to work with students - both our student workers (who are awesome) and the students who come in to use our materials.

I love my job, I'm a waitress in a restaurant down at the beach. Everyone there is friendly and I just love the atmosphere. Also, since most people are around my age (16-25) I get along with everyone well.

I "used" to love my job. But I left it for my husband. LOL I was an administrative assistant for a local Society of CPAs. I was in charge of setting up recruiting fairs, legislative functions, taking pictures at such functions, writing articles and editing our membership newsletters, quality control administration for all member firms, editing the website and in charge of the financials. The job allowed me to travel once or twice a year. Because of the travel and all the other functions we held throughout the year, I spent quite a bit of time out of the office. Always something new so you didn't get bored with the same old routines.
