Default Fat Questions

They say that when you lose weight, it comes off from the place you last gained.

1. Is there any truth to this?

2. What area of your body is that?

For me, it's what I call the "upper spare tire". I've always had a decent waistline, regardless of how overweight I was. There is a paunch below my belly button, but the area above my belly button to my bust line has always been pretty slim. UNTIL RECENTLY. The last 30 or so pounds I gained (since summer '04) has all been in that area. Now, it is all pudged out with nowhere to go. I can not WAIT for that to go away.

I have gained and regained weight so many times in my life, that for me I can say, there isn't always a rhyme or reason as to where it comes off first. There have been many times I've saved my "thinner" clothes, only to find that when I get back to the weight I was when I wore it, it didn't fit anymore. And not just too small or too big, but that my proportions had all changed, so it might be too big in the waist and too tight in the thigh, or whatever.
