Default Six Flags

Ok

I'm going to Six Flags this weekend with a friend (they are still open down here). I am...really nervous about embarrassing myself in the park because I just can't get my act together and lose weight.

I'm about 300, but only wear a 22/24 (sometimes a 26 on top but that depends on the cut of the shirt). Has anyone ever had any problems at Six Flags anywhere? It's not the lapbars that worry me, though I heard they recently redid some of the bars and made them smaller. I worry about the harnesses and stuff for the roller coasters. Anyone had any problems?

I'm posting this for everyone that may have worries about theme parks.

Ok, well, since no one replied, I went with reservations. I was right, the harness on Batman didn't click shut (thank god for test seats or I really would be embarrassed). FYI: I am 54-56 inches around at my most (Chest and belly) so anyone around that size, be warned about those harnesses. It was SOO CLOSE though, it almost went down.

Everything else was fine, I didn't have any real problems because most of the lapbars were very generous in the spacing. Some of the seats weren't designed for my fat behind but I made do with them and it's all good. There was one that kind of freaked me out, it ALMOST didn't click shut but it went when the attendant came by and did it for me.

So, there you go. Generally, don't worry if you go to a theme park. Just go and have a good time ^_^.

Hi. I just went to the Six Flags here by me In Jersey... I weigh like 230 and I am pretty disgusted with myself. I went on Batman, the one that has the harnes that goes over your shoulders. I had a hard time fitting my fat butt in the seat, and the harness was a little snug....... You might want to watch out for them... I was so embarresed.... Hope that helps

My sister went to Six Flags over St. Louis a few years ago. She weighed around 260-280 at the time. Not only could she not fit one of the rides, but the ride operator VERY PUBLICLY made it known when he made her get off.

I was SO pissed off when that happened--it still makes me mad to this day--that I decided I'd never go to Six Flags, even if I do lose enough weight to ride the rides.

There ARE better ways to handle things.
