I am still reading everyone's ideas and advice....and plotting and strategizing about all this. Thank you!

I have been on a Wellness Committee and it can turn awful real fast. So, this is what went down at my old job. I think at my current job it would be okay but I would seriously analyze your coworkers personalities and make sure there are not any saboteurs among you.

Real life example: everyone agrees to a yoga class, and the instructor always offers easier alternatives for beginners. Later a person says she felt singled out for doing the easier poses despite about HALF the people did the easier poses. We tell her no one cares if she does the easier poses, but that doesn't matter to her she wants everyone to do the easy poses all the time. We try explaining that to keep the class going we need a certain amount of people so we have make the more experienced yogis are enjoying it. Again she doesn't care.

Second real life example: We have a nutritionist come speak. We then decide to have a potluck and we each choose to recipe that the nutritionist brought and have to cook for next week. One guy shows up with KFC because he wasn't in the mood for healthy food.

There are lot more incidents and sorry to be negative but if you have any toxic personalities at work maybe a just a Health Club would be better; maybe the group just meets at lunch?

And side note: you will be surprised who will give you push back. The yoga girl was thin and only participated because her fat but prettier friend wanted to lose weight. My theory, she wanted to keep her friend fat.
