I had this night mare last night...
Some background info: My husband just graduated from seminary with his Masters of Divinity degree, and is now qualified to be ordained as a Lutheran pastor. He's (we're) currently going through the stress of the call process (basically, a job hunt) where he talks to churches and they decide if they want to call him to be a pastor.
Anyway. Next Saturday we will be traveling to visit this potential new congregation. I am really nervous, for him, because the first church he interviewed with decided they wanted "someone with more experience" (isn't that always the way?) and I really like the area where this church is located and would *love* to end up there. So I REALLY want this to go well and I've been super stressed about it since he relayed the info about the church.
Last night, I had a dream about this meeting where, basically, my husband was in the office talking with the committee, and I was sort of hidden away until they called me out to meet me... Then there was this announcement, sort of game-show-esque, saying "and HERE is your pastor's WIFE!"... So I came around the corner and it was dead silent and then the leader of the committee (who, in my dream, looked very much like Stepford wives) said "No. We can't possibly call him as pastor... Look how fat his wife is!"
It's bothered me all day, and I haven't been eating (much) because I hear that every time I go to put food in my mouth. It's creepy and a bit disconcerting, even though I know it's very likely untrue.
