My shih tzu is my personal trainer.
 

So... I accidentally ended up with a shih tzu (sheed zoo). I was going to get something bigger like I was use to having, but fate kind of gave him to me. I was hesitant about the whole thing but as I love to prove I can be one of the guys my dog is great at proving he can play with the big dogs.

He's nearly all black, muscular, LARGE for a shih tzu but very fit, has a big under bite missing teeth, missing an eye, super shaggy even when brushed and, well, he loves to dig, hunt, wrestle, patrol the territory, climb on playground equipment, chew toys to bits, go on hikes, and even does agility. He has turned out to be the perfect dog. He, like me, has a LOT of energy in short bursts. So we go on short high-impact walks and play hard for just five or so minutes. He really encourages me to get out there and see the world or even the neighborhood. This tough little guy has made fast friends of the guys and has his own pack of buddies he visits ranging from chihuahuas to pitbulls.

That's awesome that you have a Shih Tzu! My friends have one and love him to pieces!

I have a guinea pig and I know it sounds funny, but we go on walks when I put him in his carrier and it's so nice to have a furry friend! Animals don't judge, they love and give companionship. I think having a pet is so uplifting and rewarding.

Awww, he sounds ADORABLE! My dogs keep me active, can't stand to disappoint them so it is UP and at 'em in the mornings!
