I bring my lunch, and make sure I have a healthy snack before any parties. I uaually allow for myself to have one cookie or small piece of cake and I eat it slowly.

Do you like gum? Maybe you can chew some while you are setting up the food so it isn't as tempting to sample? Or maybe you can brush your teeth right before? (I hate the first bite of food right after brushing)

My ex step-sister sells baked goods at the farmers market in town here. I know (saw it with my own eyes several times) that she lets her dog lick the spoons and bowls then just rinses them off. Her baked goods look pretty but I tell people not to buy them! EEEWWWWW
