Bit by my cat and screamed at my dad.
 

I was giving my cats round worm meds. 1 of 3 freaked out and chomped on me. OWWWWW!! I started crying it hurt like heck.... then i screamed at my dad because I flipped.... loud.... I'm sure thee neighbors heard. I used antibacterial soap, alcohol, and antiseptic. I'm just so embarrassed about my screaming. I'm so mad at myself. Luckily we and all our neighbors don't talk to one another.

Also will I be okay? What signs of infection or anything should I look for? My dad got bit once-didn't clean it-ended up in the emergency room.

Look for heat around the wound, and red marks, any seeping as well. Be careful wounds from cats can get infected easily (both bites and scratches).

Be very cautious. Cats' teeth are like needles and push bacteria very deep into tissue. Keep an eye on it and go to the ER if any sign of inflammation.

Honestly, you should be fine since you took care of it. (as my vet tech bf said). A bite isn't as bad as a scratch from cats-most of the bacteria is in their claws. Just keep an eye on anything unusual near the bite. Keep putting a triple antibiotic on it.

I'm sorry you got bitten. Next time you need to give a pill to a cat, try Greenies Pill Pockets for Cats (I am in no way affiliated with the company). We had to give pills to our elderly very finicky cat to help her with nausea when she was at the end of her life and even though she was nauseous and picky, she would take the tablets in the pill pockets like it was a treat.
