Major League Baseball Chat
It's official the season will start tonight when the Rangers play the Astros in Houston.
I know I'm ready for some baseball as it's been a long Spring Training.
So come on in and let's chat about our favourite game.
Go Cards.

I am hurt. Wounded.
Yahoo Sports Ranking 30 opening day starters says that the Yanquees could possibly beat the Red Sox tomorrow, per
Quote:
C.C. Sabathia — New York Yankees (vs. Red Sox, Mon. 1:05 ET) The Yankees workhorse will be one of the few recognizable names taking the field for Joe Girardi in their opener. His margin for error could be very, very slim.

The Season has Opened!
Now that's the way to start a season. Red Sox beat the Yanquees 8-2.
Just doing the happy dance here.
Anyone else play today?

We are playing right now, not liking what I'm seeing. Too many base running mistakes. I hate west coast games.
Diane those shadows at Miller Park are terrible during day games.

Well, let's see how it goes today. It looks like starting pitching was spot on for us, but the bullpen let us down. They had been saying that our bullpen was going to be good. It is only one game... but....

We had a great Braves game on Monday, off yesterday and back on tonight at 6:30.
Bill, I was pleased to see the Red Sox performance on Monday. Hope they continue the trend today.

Did anyone see Darvish ALMOST throw that perfect game last night??? That hit in the bottom of the 9th was heartbreaking!!!

Have I mentioned how much I dislike west coast games!
A long game and we lose in the 16th inning. Don't you hate when that happens.
Now we have to go to San Francisco for their home opener.

Yep, West Coast games are the pits. If the Dodgers form their own league, then we can skip theirs, LOL.
That Darvish ALMOST threw a perfect game was splendid. Made me realize that the sentence, "Threw an almost perfect game" just isn't the same thing.
[Quietly noticing that the Red Sox have won their first two.]

Braves won again last night, with rain falling the entire game. I'm liking Justin Upton.
West Coast games are tough - I want to be able to tell my boss that I'm late the next day because the game was on, but that never works.
Darvish's game was lovely. That hit was heartbreaking, absolutely, but I hope he can keep in mind that it was still a great game even if not 'perfect'.
Another nice Red Sox game, Bill.
