Default To get it or not to get it... Lol

I have a 24hrs membership that I got from Costco 2 years ago. It ends on April. With the Costco deal I end up paying $12.95 a month (now it went up so it will be $14.95) instead of the $25.99 that you would have to pay at the club.

Now, I will be 14 weeks by April, my baby will be born 6 months later and 24hrs kid's club doesn't take babies less than 6 months old. I will probably wont use the gym that much or at all during those 6 months anyways.

So, I don't know if I should go month to month till the baby is born which will be around $150 for 6 months or if I should just buy the Costco deal again that cost $350 but last 2 years. OR... My other option is just to buy an elliptical for that same money and just work out at home... (I would also save $20 per month on kid's club)

What do you guys think?

I did not know there was a 24 hour Costco!
I have the Executive membership where you get a percentage back after you spend so much money throughout the year.
Where do you live!
I love me some Costco

I live in Washington State. Call your local 24hrs and see if they take it.

Given the option, if you don't plan to do weight training, buy the Elliptical. On the other hand, do the math: 6 months x $14.95 = $89.70 you'll just be giving away. Maybe you can afford to give away money, but if you can't, just wait and pay the $25. Its only going to cost you $10.30 more over 4 months.

If you're not good at working out at home (I'm not), I'd get the membership later and go to the gym. For me, I have to be in a work out environment or I'll find every excuse in the world to take a break.

Can you do a medical freeze on your membership due to the pregnancy?

(And Roo2, the OP is referring to a 24 Hour Fitness membership purchased at Costco, not a Costco membership)

Thanks 427, I don't want to waste 6 months but is so hard for me to pay regular price after getting a bargain all these time lol (yes, I am cheap like that)

April: I will ask them about that, because that could be the perfect solution for my "problem"
