My husband's father had several very short sisters. Significantly shorter than 5'. One of the shorter ones found things of value on the ground all the time. Things like significant amounts of money and even, once, a diamond ring. The theory was that she was so close to the ground she could see stuff there that other people didn't notice.

Ha, I'm tall and I'm often asked by short people to get stuff down from the top shelf at the store.

Fitting into kids clothes! They're cheaper.

Haha, so true! My DD12 passes down the jeans that are too short for her. They fit me perfectly.

Shortie pro: no worries about leg room on an airplane!

Shortie con: even petite inseams are too long. I need 28 inches and most petites are 30+.

I love being short most of the time.. but I absolutely dreaded it during college.
Whenever I got on the crowded shuttle bus to go from one campus to another, I wasn't able to reach the bars at the top of the bus to hold onto for stability so I would always have to balance myself (which failed 100% of the time) or grab onto someone standing next to me (not so fun for the other person if they were a stranger). EEK!!

Amen! I think my husband gets an extra kick for his masculine ego by my laughable attempts at reaching things, then he gets to swoop in and save the day.

Ha! I have the same with my 6'3" fiance. He seems to enjoy that he has to help me grab things. He also enjoys just picking me up whenever he feels like

I LOVE this. I always have plenty of legroom on planes. It's good for my fiance, lol. He has NO legroom on planes at all, so he can take some of mine.

Pro - airplane leg room (another plus for that!), being able to be inconspicuous in a crowd, feeling small even when I'm otherwise feeling chunky

Con - I work in an elementary school and it's a little weird to have half the fifth graders taller than you
