Default Stabbed in eye...

So this past weekend I ate more than the set calories I'm eating. I had been doing pretty good with it but Saturday began my downward spiral. I had an injury...to my eye! Seriously was stabbed in the eye with a toy puzzle thing (plastic). It scratched my eye and I couldn't open it very well for a few days. It set me back and made me discouraged but I'm back on track. Anyways if anyone has ever had a scratched eye...I am sooooo sorry for you. It's getting better little by little. Just also sucks because I wanted to get our annual Christmas picture done soon but my eye is a little red still.

Yep, those suck!

My most recent "eye incident" was about six months ago.. I was in the shower washing my hair when I got a big ole glob of DOVE shampoo in my eyeball! Now, with DOVE generally being a gentle product, you'd think big deal. But Omgosh that freakin' hurt like bananas! I couldn't open my eye for a couple hours afterwards. DH had to literally pry my eyeball open to wash some water into it because I had it so tightly shut!

Glad you're on your way to recovery though :] Share your pix when you get them done!

I felt bad when my eye got scratched because...I take care of a little girl (she's 3) and we were playing with the puzzle thing and BAM in my eye. She didn't mean it and I kinda had to jump up and she slipped to the floor (I made sure it wasn't like hurting her or anything but man my eye hurt lol). She was crying while I was in the bathroom crying. Luckily my husband's mom calmed her down. Afterward I was sitting there and my eye was all red and watery and she sits on me and kissed my eye. It didn't make it better but with a 3 year old you have to pretend lol

I had the great fortune of scratching my cornea on vacation. My eye was bandaged and I couldn't move it...or I would risk more scratching and further damage. The bad thing is that when you move one eye or move your head, both eyes move natrually. You can't just keep 1 eye still. I had to lie down for about 2 days and had to try not to move my head or open my eyes. Did I mention I had a 1 year old at the time?

Know the pain....Wish you well.

Yeah any time I tried to do something...my eye would hurt. I tried to keep it closed the first few days and when I would use my other eye...my injured one would sting sooooo bad. I was lucky that my husband was home the day it happened and could care for the 3 year old I take care of. The next day I was on my own with her though. Luckily she understood I couldn't play as usual and she knew I had a 'booboo'.

I also haven't gotten a usual night of sleep since it happened. The first night was the worst (got up many times). I think I can finally go through a day without the need to water my eye. Oddly, my eye waters but when it doesn't it stings real bad. I'm hoping this heals quickly. My husband asks his boss (he works in pharmacy) about it and he said that it should heal...and to just keep it lubricated.
