I don't think a judge will award child support if you split the kids 50/50 like that. There is usualy NO child support unless one parent has the bulk of the responsibility for caring for the kids..my husband and I are toying with the idea of getting a credit card so we can afford a laywer and get his daughter 50% of the time. It would mean no child support, and more time with her.
Plus your ex was hospitalized and is mentaly ill?
Get your own laywer and get those children away from him. No judge in his/her right mind would endanger those children by putting them in a bad situation like that.
