I've been following this thread since the beginning, and admit none of us knows the full truth, but Megan's fears were palpable and I'm glad she's feeling safer now.
As many people have noted, this thread has been full of support and care, and I'm sure many of us have learned something about abusive relationships.
I'm glad Megan has had a chance to respond, but I'm going to close this thread now. I certainly don't want Megan to lose her support and encourage her to start another. However, posters are starting to argue with each other, and I don't believe that is productive to the issue at hand.
So, please Megan, keep us posted and use this community as much as you need to -- like you I have been warmed by the support. But let's go ahead and make a fresh start.
