Default Thrift Store SCORE!!!

Heeeheee - I went on my first run to the thrift store today (well, first run for clothing anyway), and I found a cute black boatneck sweater that felt super soft for 99 cents (along with a nice red top and black slacks). Didn't recognize the brand. Got home, noticed the tiny label said 100% cashmere on the back, checked the brand online - It was James Perse Los Angeles, and their sweaters retail for $175-$350! They do the weird 0-4 sizes, instead of small through xl, so I'm guessing everyone just walked past it, but I had brought my measuring tape due to suggestions found on these boards - thanks 3FCs

Yay! I *love it! Nothing better. The only thing better than finding a great piece of clothing is finding it at Goodwill for 3 bucks..and you beat that by a lot. Good job!

Gotta love the thrift stores! I scored a St. Johns Bay super cool leather coat for $10 a few weeks ago.

I love thrift stores! They have been invaluable in helping me beef up my wardrobe without breaking the bank while I've been losing weight.

A few weeks ago I found a really awesome long wool coat for $14, but more recently I really hit the jackpot when I stumbled into a Goodwill near an expensive private school here...everything was from J. Crew, Banana Republic, and other similar name brands! It was crazy! I got a couple of cashmere sweaters for $3.99 each. I can't wait to go back

eBay is my thrift shop.

(But one of my resolutions for the New Year is to severely curtail my shopping.)

I love the thrift stores too ( Known as charity shops in the UK)
Not been very good at getting clothes as sizewise they don't seem to have much that suits me but have gotten quite a few things like my collection of little ornamental ducks and geese, plus soft toys that I love, especially those with a squidgy tummy!
