Default Round or short tips? (nails)

Oops, the title is supposed to say "round or square" not round or short, lol.

Okay, so I'm getting a set of acrylics done today for the first time. I've bitten my nails my entire life and recently grew them out long enough to get fake ones put on as they were too short before. I like rounded tips because they look more natural, but I can't help but feel that since I have really short fat fingers the square tips would help lengthen them and make the chubbiness of my fingers less noticeable. Thoughts?

you could always get the best of both worlds, and ask for squoval (at least that's what they were called in my area). It's the square tips with rounded corners. This way you get the strength of the square, but the softer look of the rounded. I have short pudgy hands, and this type always looked nice on me. Good luck.

I Personally like oval tips. Ask the manicurist maybe she will try one of each and you can see which one you like best.

Squoval or oval. I don't like square ones. they look too fake. I can't stand an overyly fake look.

Im a square girl, even though I do my own (no acrylics) I think they end up being squoval.

Ooh, thank you so much for the squoval thing. I've read about square nails with rounded edges but I couldn't visualize it in my head, but after googling it that's DEFINITELY what I want. I was stuck between the round nails being too soft and the square nails being too sharp so that's perfect.
