I have one that wraps around my entire right ankle. There was very little pain at all until he started going back over with the colors. Even then it wasn't terrible. I can't help you with the colors though. In fact I'm so pale that I've had yellow ink for 8 years with virtually zero fading. Good luck choosing your design and make sure the artist comes highly recommended!

Thanks for everyone's responses! I appreciate all the feedback.


From what I gathered from the posts, tattoos just aren't as painful as they're believed to be but of course, personal pain tolerance is going to play a huge factor in it. At this point I'm thinking about getting a tattoo either this coming spring break or a few months from that during my summer break. Right now I'm just reviewing my tattoo ideas and looking online for inspiration. Thanks again!
