Default on-the-plane crochet/knitting project ideas?

Ok... so... I'm going to taking three flights tomorrow, and crochet and knitting (as well as reading a few books) are some of the only ways I can keep my head and not go completely crazy. So... I'm looking for ideas of projects that I can print some patterns out for.

I'm currently working on a horse fly bonnet for a friend (or for me... not sure which yet ), but I'm about half-way done already... and it'll probably take me two hours to finish it... which leaves me with at least ten more hours to try and fill up (this flight is intercontinental).

So... ideas? I'm only bringing like... three or four skeins of sport weight yarn. I might choose to make myself a couple more handwarmers... but it's still the middle of the summer... and I'll be returning from Serbia to Texas.

So yeah. And these will probably also help me keep my head when I'm in Serbia, waiting for SOMETHING to happen.

So... any ideas would be AWESOME. Nothing overly elaborate please... I'm a pretty advanced crocheter... but pretty beginner knitter.

Thanks guys!!

(if I could get at least two or three replies BEFORE 6 AM tomorrow... that would be AMAHZING!!)

I always crochet when I travel...keeps me calm and I am never bored while waiting. I usually only like small projects to travel with. Some things I might work on might be hand bags, shopping bags, eyeglass cases, book covers, makeup remover pads, luggage markers in bright colors, dishcloths, potholders. Just simple little projects. I usually bring cotton yarn with me. Safe and happy travels for you!

I like crocheting granny squares. Then you can put them all together as a pillow cover, or afghan, or bedspread, depending on how many you end up with.

Here's a nice granny square page:

Or this one would be shorter to print, but has fewer photos:
